Device for measuring hair properties
A device for measuring hair properties has a first part (I) and a second part (II) between which hair (H) is guided. The first part includes a measuring probe (MP), and the second part is arranged for deforming the hair against the measuring probe. While the device moves along the hair, the measuring probe experiences both a friction force resulting from the hair being guided along the measuring probe, and a deformation force resulting from hair deformation by the second part against the measuring probe. The second part includes a pressure element (PB, S) for pressing the hair against the measuring probe. In alternative embodiments, the second part comprises alignment elements (AE) at opposite sides of the measuring probe, and guidance elements (G) for mitigating an influence of an angle at which the device is applied to the hair to the friction force and/or the deformation force.
Hair braiding kit
A hair braiding kit includes a base mat with a first hair attachment and a second hair attachment attached at different locations to the mat. The first and second hair attachments have multiple strands configured in 3 columns, each strand attached to the mat midway between a first end and a second end. The strands of the second hair attachment are thinner than the strands of the first attachment. A hair braiding game includes a grid and multiple game pieces. The grid has multiple rows, a row-label column, and at least 3 lane columns, forming playing cells. The number of game pieces corresponds to the number of playing cells. Each game piece has one of several unique identifiers matching the number of lane columns. A pre-pluck, multi-ethnic mannequin head includes groupings of multiple strands affixed to the mannequin head. Each grouping has a unique characteristic thickness and/or texture.

DYEING OR LIGHTENING PROCESS USING A HAND-HELD STYLING DEVICE AND A SUBSTRATE
The present invention relates to the use, for dyeing or lightening keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, of a hand-held styling apparatus (1) equipped with at least one treatment surface (2d, 3d) partially or totally covered with at least one substrate (6) comprising a surface (6a) coated with at least one layer (6b) containing one or more dyes, preferably chosen from oxidation dyes and/or direct dyes, and/or one or more oxidizing agents. The invention also relates to an assembly (11, 24, 26) intended for dyeing or lightening keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, comprising at least one aqueous composition and at least one hand-held styling device (1) as defined above.
CORDLESS HAIR TOOLS
A product line of battery-powered, cordless blow-dryers, curling irons, flat-irons, and hair-clippers to eliminate the frustration, limitations, and accidental mishaps associated with easily tangled power cords, while providing premium-quality styling tools featuring removable batteries which are easily charged in the provided charging base to provide the utmost in convenience to both professional stylist's and barbers, and consumer households.
Hair styling device
A shoulder assembly for connecting two arms of a hair styling apparatus, the shoulder assembly comprising: a housing; a first coupling member which is attached to the housing and which projects from the housing to couple the housing to a first arm; a second coupling member which is attached to the housing and which projects from the housing to couple the housing to a second arm; wherein both the first and second coupling members are flexible so that the first arm is movable relative to the second arm when the shoulder assembly is connected to the first and second arms.
Device for treating the hair for controlling the application of a product
The invention relates to a device for treating the hair and to the corresponding application method, the device (2) comprising: —two arms (5, 6) that are able to move relative to one another between a moved-together configuration for treating the hair and a spaced-apart configuration for inserting hair to be treated between said arms, and —a system (18) for applying a product, comprising an applicator member (26) for applying the product, the application system (18) being mounted on one of the arms (5) and being able to move relative to said arm (5) between at least two positions generating, while the device (2) is being used to treat the hair, different respective application pressures of the applicator member (26) on the hair to be treated.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANIPULATING THE SHAPE OF HAIR
An apparatus manipulates the shape of hair using dielectric heating. Typically, the apparatus includes opposing first and second electrodes respectively provided on first and second arms that are movable towards and away from one another. Drive circuitry supplies electrical energy to the first and second electrodes, to cause an alternating electric field to be produced in the vicinity of the electrodes in use, and thereby cause dielectric heating of hair placed between the electrodes in use. Sensing circuitry senses a change in coupling of energy from the alternating electric field to the hair during heating of the hair. Control circuitry controls the drive circuitry to vary the electrical energy supplied to the first and second electrodes in dependence upon the sensed change in coupling. A related method manipulates the shape of hair using dielectric heating.
ANGLE DEFLECTION TYPE TWISTED HAIR STYLING DEVICE
A hair styling device includes an upper gripping portion, a lower gripping portion, a hinge structure connecting the upper gripping portion and the lower gripping portion, an upper clamping head connected to the upper gripping portion and a lower clamping head connected to the lower gripping portion. The upper clamping head includes an upper clamping surface and a top, The lower clamping head includes a lower clamping surface and a bottom. The lower clamping surface and the upper clamping surface are arranged to be paired together when the hair styling device is in a closed position. The upper clamping surface has an upper twisted deflection angle with respect to the upper gripping portion. The lower clamping surface has a lower twisted deflection angle with respect to the lower gripping portion. The upper twisted deflection angle is equal to the lower twisted deflection angle.
Hair curling system and method that utilizes bi-stable ribbon springs
A system and method for curling a lock of hair. A hair curling assembly contains a bi-stable ribbon spring. The ribbon spring is biased into a coiled configuration. The ribbon spring has positional stability in both its coiled configuration and its linear configuration. The ribbon spring is manipulated into its linear configuration within the hair curling assembly. The hair curling assembly is then positioned proximate the lock of hair to be curled. The ribbon spring is triggered back to its coiled configuration. The lock of hair winds with the ribbon spring into its coiled configuration, therein forming a curl in the lock of hair.
