REFILL FOR INSERTING INTO A DEVICE FOR TREATING THE HAIR BY PIVOTING
The invention relates to a cosmetic refill (20) intended to be inserted in a removable manner into a housing (22) in a device (2) for treating the hair and to the associated treatment device (2). The cosmetic refill (20) comprises a body (23) that has a first wall (40) and a second wall (38) opposite the first wall (40), and at least one coupling relief (50, 52) that extends from each of the first wall (40) and the second wall (38). The coupling relief (50) on the first wall (40) is intended to cooperate with a first surface (46) of the housing (22) when the first wall (40) is introduced into the housing (22). The coupling relief (52) on the second wall (38) is intended to cooperate with a second surface (44) of the housing (22) when the refill (20) is brought into a use position by pivoting in the housing (22) about a pivot axis (B).
LOAD-DEPENDENT POWER CONTROL FOR HAIR IRON HAVING CERAMIC HEATERS
Methods and apparatus include a hair iron having a controller and a heater between first and second arms movable relative to each other between open and closed positions. The controller connects or not the heater to a line voltage to heat hair when placed between the arms during use. A proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller communicates with a thermistor measuring a current temperature of the heater and makes requests of the controller to operate the heater at a setpoint temperature. In various embodiments, the heater heats to full power during warm-up and operates thereafter at lower temperatures based on a reading of the line voltage and a time to adjust the current temperature to the desired setpoint temperature.
Hair care device
A hair care device (100) comprises a heat source (103) for heating hair up till a first temperature that is no more than 150° C. (and thus lower than a critical temperature at which hair cuticle damage will occur), and a radiation source (102) for—in combination with heat from the heat source (103)—selectively heating a hair cortex to a second temperature exceeding the first temperature and sufficiently high for hair styling.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DYEING HAIR FIBRES USING RADIO FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
The present invention relates to a method for dyeing hair fibres, in particular a method which involves coating hair fibres with a hair dye composition and directing radio frequency electromagnetic radiation to the coated hair fibres to cause heating within the coated hair fibres by dielectric loss. The present invention also relates to kits and appliances for use in connection with the method, as well as the use of radio frequency electromagnetic radiation in reducing the effective dye-treatment time for hair fibres. In one aspect, there is provided a method of dyeing hair fibres, said method comprising the steps of: i) coating one or more hair fibres with a hair dye composition; and ii) directing radio frequency electromagnetic radiation having one or more frequencies from 1 MHz to 300 MHz to the one or more coated hair fibres to cause heating within the one or more coated hair fibres by dielectric loss. Preferably, the hair dye composition used in step i) is a permanent or demi-permanent hair dye composition that may be prepared by combining a dye lotion containing one or more dye precursors and an activator solution containing an activating agent, wherein the activating agent in the activator solution converts the one or more dye precursors in the dye lotion to active dye agents.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DYEING HAIR FIBRES USING RADIO FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
The present invention relates to a method for dyeing hair fibres, in particular a method which involves coating hair fibres with a hair dye composition and directing radio frequency electromagnetic radiation to the coated hair fibres to cause heating within the coated hair fibres by dielectric loss. The present invention also relates to kits and appliances for use in connection with the method, as well as the use of radio frequency electromagnetic radiation in reducing the effective dye-treatment time for hair fibres. Preferably, the hair dye composition used in step i) is a permanent or demi-permanent hair dye composition that may be prepared by combining a dye lotion containing one or more dye precursors and an activator solution containing an activating agent, wherein the activating agent in the activator solution converts the one or more dye precursors in the dye lotion to active dye agents.

The present invention relates to a fluoropolymer-based coating of the surface of a household article comprising at least two decorations (a) and (b) arranged between or in its layers, wherein: (a) is a decoration comprising at least one thermochromic pigment composition in the form of particles consisting of a (Bi1-xAx) (V1-yMy)O4 type pigment, where: —x is 0 or x is from 0.001 to 0.999; —y is equal to 0 or y is from 0.001 to 0.999; —A and M are selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, phosphorus, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, a transition metal, a poor metal, a metalloid or a lanthanide; —A and M are different from each other; and (b) is a decoration comprising a temperature reference pigment composition.
HAIR STRAIGHTENER CAPABLE OF AUTOMATICALLY DISTINGUISHING DRY AND WET HAIR
The invention discloses a hair straightener capable of automatically distinguishing dry and wet hair. The hair straightener comprises two heating panels, each of the two heating panels having a heating surface, the two heating surfaces cooperating with each other for clasping hair and for hair styling; a conduction assembly, provided in one of the two heating panels, and configured to detect the humidity of hair; and a circuit control system for controlling temperatures of the two heating panels upon receipt of the humidity of the hair detected by the conduction assembly. According to the invention, the temperature of the heating panels can be adjusted to an appropriate temperature after the humidity of the hair is detected, so that the hair conditions are in the best state.

REFILL FOR A DEVICE FOR TREATING THE HAIR, HAVING A COUPLING RELIEF
The invention relates to a refill (20) for a device for treating the hair, comprising a body (23) having a cavity (30) that is formed at least partially by two opposite walls (34, 36; 38, 40) and a bottom and opens towards the outside by way of an opening (31), and an applicator member that is inserted into the cavity (30) in the body (23) along an insertion axis and extends out of the cavity (30) through the opening (31). At least one of the walls (34, 36; 38, 40) and the bottom comprises at least one coupling relief (32) that engages with the applicator member in order to prevent it from being extracted from the cavity (30), this coupling relief (32) being designed such that the force for inserting the applicator member into the cavity is weaker than the extraction force.
