ZEOLITE WITH REDUCED EXTRA-FRAMEWORK ALUMINUM
The present disclosure generally provides a catalyst composition comprising a zeolite containing iron and/or copper with a reduced amount of extra-framework aluminum. The catalyst composition is useful to catalyze the reduction of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas in the presence of a reductant.
METHOD FOR DETECTING A GAS SAMPLE USING A CARBON AEROGEL ADSORBENT
A method for detecting a gas sample includes the following steps of: providing a carbon aerogel sleeve; introducing a gas sample to the carbon aerogel sleeve, and then sequentially extracting, concentrating, activating, and re-concentrating the gas sample adsorbed by the carbon aerogel and detecting a concentration of the re-concentrated gas sample by a gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GC-MS); and extracting the carbon aerogel for several hours with reflux in a dichloromethane solvent and a n-hexane solvent several times per hour to remove the residual gas sample, and then drying the extracted carbon aerogel for reuse, wherein the dichloromethane solvent and the n-hexane solvent are at a volume ratio of 0.001-1000.
Multicomponent solid solution microparticles and method for producing same, and catalyst
This invention provides a multinary solid solution fine particle represented by Pd.sub.xRu.sub.yM.sub.z (M is at least one member selected from the group consisting of Rh, Pt, Cu, Ag, Au and Ir. x+y+z=1, x+y=0.01 to 0.99, z=0.99 to 0.01, x:y=0.1:0.9 to 0.9:0.1), a method for producing the same, and a supported catalyst.
Multistage body having a plurality of flow channels
Described is a new multilevel article comprising a multitude of ducts and, in each duct in the direction of flow, at least one area which generates turbulence, forms an open duct section, is connected to the duct wall, and forms a baffle for the incoming flow and a stall strip for the outgoing flow. The described article has a plurality of successive interconnected duct structures which form a step-like transition in relation to each other in the direct of flow.
Catalytic converter having foam-based substrate with nano-scale metal particles
A substrate for a catalytic converter, comprising an open cell carbon foam having a geometric surface area of at least about 5000 m.sup.2/m.sup.3 and a permeability of at least about 8.0 darcys, wherein the substrate has a catalytic material which includes non-noble metal nano-scale catalyst particles.
Honeycomb body for exhaust gas aftertreatment
A honeycomb body for exhaust-gas aftertreatment and a method for producing the honeycomb body for exhaust-gas aftertreatment, the honeycomb body having a housing and a honeycomb structure with a multiplicity of channels. The honeycomb structure is formed with a partially structured layer and a smooth layer the smooth layer provides that, in at least one axial portion of the honeycomb structure, a first cell density in an inner radial zone is increased in relation to a second cell density in an outer radial zone.
Exhaust gas filter
An exhaust gas filter purifies exhaust gas containing particulate matter emitted from an engine. The filter has cell walls and cells surrounded by the cell walls. Through pores formed in the cell walls, adjacent cells are communicated. The cells have open cells opening along an axial direction of the filter, and plugged cells. An upstream end part of the plugged cell is plugged by a plug member. On a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction, a flow-passage sectional area of the plugged cells is larger than a flow-passage sectional area of the open cells. A total length of the filter is not less than a first standard value and is not more than a critical length Lm determined by respective predetermined equations.
Combustion system for ships
A combustion system for ships operated at low cost is provided. A combustion system 1 for ships includes an internal combustion engine 20 that burns fuel, an exhaust line L2 through which exhaust gas flows, the exhaust gas being generated through combustion of the fuel in the internal combustion engine 20, an exhaust heat recovery device 40 that is disposed in the exhaust line L2 and that recovers exhaust heat from the exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine 20, and a denitration device 50 that is disposed in the exhaust line L2 and that removes nitrogen oxide from the exhaust gas using a denitration catalyst. The denitration device 50 is disposed downstream from the exhaust heat recovery device 40 in the exhaust line L2. The denitration catalyst contains 43 wt % or more of vanadium pentoxide and has a BET specific surface area of 30 m.sup.2/g or more.
Method for the preparation of a catalysed monolith
A method for the preparation of a catalyzed monolithic body or a catalyzed particular filter. The method includes the step of suctioning a sol-solution containing catalytically active material and metal oxide catalyst carriers or precursors thereof into pores of a monolithic substrate, solely by capillary forces and without the application of vacuum or pressure.
MULTICOMPONENT SOLID SOLUTION MICROPARTICLES AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND CATALYST
