Modular cooling water assemblies for combined cycle power plant systems

Modular cooling water assemblies for combined cycle power plant systems are disclosed. Each of the assemblies may include a pump and a heat exchanger, both positioned on a support structure. Additionally, each of the assemblies may include a closed cooling water system supported by the support structure. The closed cooling water system may include a return header fluidly coupled to a return conduit for receiving cooling water previously utilized by the combined cycle power plant system. The closed cooling water system may also include a supply header positioned adjacent the return header, and fluidly coupled to a supply conduit for supplying the cooling water to the combined cycle power plant system. Additionally, the closed cooling water system may include a closed cooling water circuit fluidly coupling the return header to the supply header. The closed cooling water circuit may be fluidly coupled to the heat exchanger and the pump.

Cooler arrangement for cooling at least one cylinder of a combustion engine

Disclosed is a cooler arrangement for cooling a cylinder of a combustion engine. The cylinder has a cylinder head and a cylinder liner. The arrangement comprises a cooling circuit with a first flow passage which leads coolant through a lower part of the cylinder head, a second flow passage which leads coolant through an upper part of the cylinder head, and a third flow passage which leads coolant through an upper part of the cylinder liner. The cooling circuit is adapted to initially leading coolant through the first flow passage before it is led in parallel through the second flow passage and the third flow passage.

Internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine, especially a diesel internal combustion engine, having at least one intercooler, at least one control unit, at least a first and a second cooling circuit, whereby the cooler of the first cooling circuit is flow-connected to a cooling circuit of the internal combustion engine, while the cooler of the second cooling circuit of the internal combustion engine is flow-connected to the intercooler.

A control device for an internal combustion engine is provided which enables control of dilution of oil by fuel and water drops, i.e., control of the amount of so-called oil dilution. The control device for an internal combustion engine that is lubricated or cooled by oil includes: a variable displacement oil pump capable of varying the amount of discharge of the oil; an air-fuel ratio sensor for sensing an air-fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine; and an ECU for controlling the amount of discharge of the variable displacement oil pump. The ECU controls the amount of discharge of the variable displacement oil pump, based on the air-fuel ratio sensed by the air-fuel ratio sensor.

METHOD OF MODIFYING AN ENGINE OIL COOLING SYSTEM

A method of modifying the oil cooling system of a diesel engine includes the steps of removing the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger and installing a manifold having a configuration adapted to match the mounting configuration of the oil passages of the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger. The manifold has an oil outlet port directed to a remotely mounted oil cooler. The manifold also has a water passage having a configuration that is adapted to match the mounting configuration of the water passages of the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger. The water passage causes the entirety of the flow of water to be discharged back to the water cooling system of the engine where it is circulated by the water pump through the water cooling passages in the engine.
