Flexible supply gas routing for gas compressors

Most multistage compressors specify a maximum inlet pressure that may be supplied to the compressor to stay within designed limits. If the supply gas to be compressed is at a higher pressure than the specified maximum inlet pressure, then its pressure must be reduced before connecting it to the compressor. This pressure reduction is inefficient. The present invention avoids reducing the inlet pressure by routing the supply gas directly to the appropriate compression stage depending on its inlet pressure such that the compressor loads are still within the specified limits of the equipment.

Liquefied gas unloading and deep evacuation system

A liquefied gas unloading and deep evacuation system may more quickly, more efficiently and more completely unload liquefied gases from transport tanks, such as rail cars, into stationary storage tanks or into truck tanks. The system may utilize a two stage compressor, an electric motor, a variable frequency drive, a four way valve, a three way valve, a two way valve, a programmable logic controller based control system and pressure and temperature transmitters. The valving enables deep evacuation of the transport or supply tank to more completely empty the transport tank. The programmable logic controller and variable speed drive may be used to variably control the speed of the two stage compressor so that the system may be running as fast as possible during changes in ambient temperature and/or different stages of offloading the liquefied gases without exceeding the compressor's horsepower limit.

The sliding block tracks are constructed and such that a movement of the low pressure piston and of the high pressure piston follows a piston stroke curve that deviates from a regular sinusoidal stroke curve.

A three-stage compression air pump includes a pump head and a pumping device. The pumping device includes first and second cylinders and a plunger. The first cylinder is connected with the pump head and coupled to a first piston moving in the second cylinder. The second cylinder includes a first end cap and a second end cap respectively coupled to the two ends thereof. The first cylinder is inserted through the first end cap. The second end cap defines an orifice allowing outside air to flow into the second cylinder and includes a one-way valve preventing the air in the second cylinder from flowing outside the three-stage compression pump. The plunger is inserted in and movably coupled to the first cylinder and coupled to a second piston moving in the first cylinder and connected with the second end cap. The plunger is inserted through the first piston.

A compressible fluid separator pump includes a crankshaft, four cylinders, and four pistons. Each cylinder includes an inlet including an inlet valve for mixed fluid comprising a target component and a discharge component, a reject outlet including a reject valve for a reject fluid, and a select outlet for a select fluid, wherein each of the select outlets includes a separator member that prefers the target component over the discharge component such that the target component is at a higher concentration in the select fluid than in the mixed fluid and in the reject fluid. Each piston is connected to the crankshaft and is positioned in one of the four cylinders, and the crankshaft is configured to position two of the pistons at top dead center when the other two of the pistons are at bottom dead center.

RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR

Provided is a reciprocating compressor including a third-stage compression unit, a fifth-stage compression unit, a drive unit, a discharge mechanism, a pressure sensor, and a discharge control unit. The discharge mechanism is capable of discharging hydrogen gas from a second connection pipe that allows hydrogen gas to flow to be suctioned into the third-stage compression unit. The discharge control unit controls the discharge mechanism to discharge the hydrogen gas from the second connection pipe when pressure of the hydrogen gas detected by the pressure sensor is higher than a set value preset.
