An autonomous cleaning robot includes a drive system to move the autonomous cleaning robot about a floor surface, a cleaning head on a bottom portion of the autonomous cleaning robot, a side brush on the bottom portion of the autonomous cleaning robot, and a vacuum system in pneumatic communication with the opening. The cleaning head is configured to direct debris from the floor surface into the autonomous cleaning robot as the autonomous cleaning robot moves about the floor surface. The side brush is rotatable about a rotational axis forming a non-zero angle with a floor surface, and the side brush comprising an opening.

A reconfigurable vacuum attachment may include a bell-shaped housing. The bell-shaped housing may have a bell-opening and a hose-interface. The hose-interface may be configured to hydraulically couple with a vacuum hose. A skimmer-plate may be attachable to the bell-opening and include a skimmer-aperture extending through the skimmer-plate. The reconfigurable vacuum attachment may further include a removable brush assembly. The brush assembly may host a rotatable brush coupled to a brush driver. The brush driver may be configured to hydraulically couple with the vacuum hose and convert water flow into a torque and spin the bristles. A buoy may be attached to the housing allowing the reconfigurable vacuum attachment to be used as a pool skimmer. The reconfigurable vacuum attachment is useful for skimming a pool surface and dislodging and vacuuming matter from a pool wall.

A brushroll for a surface cleaning apparatus includes a brush dowel defining a central rotational axis which extends longitudinally through the brush dowel. The brush dowel includes bristle supports, sweeper supports, and a shroud surface extending between the bristle supports and the sweeper supports. A plurality of bristles protrude from the bristle supports.

The surface cleaning device comprises a cleaning head comprising a housing, wherein the housing defines an inlet and comprises brush chambers; at least one vent coupled to a top portion of the housing; and a sweeper assembly coupled to the housing and comprising brushes having bristles, wherein the cleaning head is configured create a suction with a surface by directing air flow into the housing through the inlet and out of the housing through the at least one vent.

Disclosed is a vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner according to the present disclosure includes a main body and a suction nozzle. The suction nozzle includes a housing and a rotating brush. The rotating brush includes a first rotating brush, a second rotating brush, and a coupler. The coupler couples the first rotating brush and the second rotating brush so that a rotation axis of the first rotating brush and a rotation axis of the second rotating brush are positioned on the same line.
