COATING REMOVAL METHOD AND GUIDE FOR USE THEREWITH

The present invention relates to a method for removing a coating from a defined area of a high pressure turbine part comprising the steps of: securing a guide to said turbine part, said guide both exposing said defined area while protecting adjacent areas; repeatedly inserting and withdrawing a brush through an opening in said guide which directs said brush to impinge said defined area and remove said coating. The invention also relates to a guide used in the aforementioned method.

Oral care implement

An oral care implement and/or a cleaning element for an oral care implement. The cleaning element may include an annular cleaning component having an inner surface defining a cavity. The annular cleaning component may be formed from a plurality of arcuate portions with each of the arcuate portions extending from a first end to a second end and terminating in a distal end. A height of each of the arcuate portions may be greater at the second end than at the first end. The plurality of arcuate portions may be arranged in a ring so that the first end of each of the arcuate portions is adjacent to the second end of another one of the arcuate portions.

Head for an oral care implement

A head for an oral care implement has a mounting surface and at least one tuft mounted thereon. The tuft has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The tuft comprises a plurality of substantially cylindrical filaments. Each filament has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The cross-sectional area of an individual filament has a substantially non-circular shape. The plurality of filaments is arranged such that the cross-sectional area of the tuft has a scaled-up shape of the individual filament's cross-sectional area.

Mold insert and method of making a mold insert

A mold insert has at least one filament cavity and a stack of at least a first and second insert plates, wherein the first plate has a front face that closely abuts a front face of the second insert plate. A portion of the a filament cavity is provided in at least one of the front faces of the first and second insert plates such that the filament cavity is open at a top surface of the mold insert but does not extend to a bottom surface of the mold insert. A venting cavity is provided in the same front face of the insert plate in which the portion of the at least one filament cavity is provided. The venting cavity, which is in air-conducting connection with the blind-hole end of the filament cavity, has a depth between 1 μm and 20 μm. A method of manufacturing the mold insert includes providing first and second insert plates, forming a portion of a filament cavity into at least one of the front faces of the insert plates, forming a venting cavity into the front face with the filament cavity, and bringing the front faces of the plates into close abutment to form a filament cavity.

COSMETIC APPLICATOR WITH ADJACENT BRISTLES WHICH ARE CONNECTED TOGETHER BY FLAT ELEMENTS
20170231367 · 2017-08-17 · ·

A cosmetic applicator, in particular in the form of a mascara applicator with a core which has a border consisting of fingers that protrude from the core, preferably in the form of bristles. The aim of the invention is to provide a solution for a cosmetic applicator which exhibits an increased material storage capability without substantially impairing the other relevant application properties. This is achieved in that the border has adjacent fingers which are connected together by a flat element that integrally adjoins the circumferential casing surface of both fingers and the core and has a thickness in a direction perpendicular to the main surfaces of the flat element, said thickness being lower than the maximum diameter of each of the bristles which are thus connected.

BOTTLE BRUSH

A brush for cleaning the interior of a bottle or container is provided. The brush includes at least one cleaning element installed on the distal end of a shaft. The proximal end of the shaft is shaped to be gripped by a hand of a user. The distal end of the shaft includes at least one notch formed therein, where the notch has a proximal side wall, a distal side wall oppositely disposed from the proximal side wall, and a middle section disposed between the proximal side wall and the distal side wall. Each cleaning element is installed in a corresponding notch.

Long-Bristled Brush

A long-bristled brush has a handle, a base, and a set of bristles. The handle is ergonomically designed to facilitate extended usage by individuals with both large and small hands. The base is a rigid connector platform that has a flat portion and a curved portion with the flat portion being used to accommodate larger hands than the curved portion. The base is connected in between the handle and the bristles to enable a user to manipulate the long-bristled brush when performing cleaning operations. Each of the bristles is designed to resist plastic deformation and thus includes a bristle body and a reinforcement insert. The reinforcement insert is a semirigid rod that is integrated into the bristle body so that the bristles return to a substantially straight configuration after being bent. The long-bristled brush employs these components to clean hard-to-reach places on a vehicle or other device.

Disclosed is a toothbrush with oligodynamic properties. This is achieved with a small current produced as a result of the dissimilar materials from which it is constructed. A small piece of zinc metal. attached to the device at a specified location acts as a sacrificial anode in order for any corrosion which will naturally occur, to occur at the replaceable anode, and nowhere else on the toothbrush. The bristles of the tooth brush are much longer than those of a conventional toothbrush in order to spend a longer period of time in contact with the teeth and gums thereby causing the desired effect to be more pronounced.
