PARTICULATE RESTRICTION FOR FLUID PUMPS

A pump for use with fluids having particulates has an inlet to allow the fluids into a chamber of the pump. The chamber has a direct flow path of at least one larger width than a side flow path, and has a movable blade and diffuser stack within the chamber. Power features of the pump cause the movable blade to impart a centrifugal force on the fluids within the chamber, while at least one protrusion located circumferentially with respect to the chamber causes the particulates of a direct flow path to gather or causes the particulates to divert from a direction associated with at least one cavity of the chamber.

Cooling structure for turbomachine

A cooling structure for a turbomachine. In one embodiment, the cooling structure is for a seal slot of the turbomachine. The cooling structure includes a body coupled to a surface of the seal slot. The body includes a passageway on a first surface of the body for providing a cooling fluid to the seal slot. In an other embodiment, a apparatus includes a first component and a second component adjacent the first component. The apparatus also includes a seal slot extending between the first component and the second component, and a cooling structure positioned within the seal slot. The cooling structure includes a body coupled to a surface of the seal slot. The body has a passageway on a first surface of the body for providing a cooling fluid to the seal slot.

DOWNHOLE WET GAS COMPRESSOR PROCESSOR

A fluid processor for use in a downhole pumping operation includes a fluid processing stag, a nozzle stage and a gas compressor stage. The nozzle chamber is configured as a convergent-divergent nozzle and the variable metering member is configured for axial displacement within the convergent section to adjust the open cross-sectional area of the nozzle. A method for producing fluid hydrocarbons from a subterranean wellbore with a pumping system includes the steps of measuring a first gas-to-liquid ratio of the fluid hydrocarbons and operating a motor within the pumping system to operate at a first rotational speed. The method continues with the steps of measuring a second gas-to-liquid ration of the fluid hydrocarbons with the sensor module, where the second gas-to-liquid ratio is greater than the first gas-to-liquid ratio, and operating the motor at a second rotational speed that is faster than the first rotational speed.

Filter device

A multi or single-stage turbocompressor with at least one compressor wheel fastened to a shaft. The shaft is mounted in a turbocompressor housing which, behind the hub disc of the compressor wheel, includes an interior housing region as well as in front of the hub disc of the compressor wheel a front interior housing region. The driven compressor wheel delivers a fluid from an inlet channel to an outlet channel. The front interior housing region includes a wheel lateral space from which an extraction channel for the extraction of fluid is provided.

A well fluid centrifugal pump has a number of stages, each of the stages having an impeller and a diffuser. The impeller has vanes curving outward from a central intake area to a periphery of the impeller. Each of the vanes has a convex side and a concave side. An upstream slot and a downstream slot extend through the vane from the convex side to the concave side. Each of the slots has an entrance on the convex side and an exit on the concave side, with the entrance being located upstream from the exit. The entrance has a greater cross-sectional area than the exit to divert well fluid flowing along the convex side to the concave side to remove accumulated gas.
