Connection system
11885371 · 2024-01-30 · ·

A connection system for removably connecting first and second pieces one to another. The connection system comprises: a tapering recess formed in, or connected to, the first piece. The tapering recess has an opening which is shaped and dimensioned to receive a wedge formed in, or connected to, the second piece. The wedge has a dovetail profile which is adapted to engage with walls of the recess. The wedge is shaped and dimensioned to slide in a first direction and thereby wedge into the tapered recess. Each piece has at least one aperture which receives a lock piece. The first and second pieces when connected and which when oriented in a user preferred direction, cause the lock piece to fall from a first aperture into a second aperture, thereby locking the wedge in the tapering recess and preventing movement in an opposite sliding direction.

JOINT COMPONENT MANUFACTURING METHOD

Provided is a joint component manufacturing method for reducing occurrence of burrs upon bonding between a first member having a hole and a second member having a shaft portion and firmly bonding both members. In the method for manufacturing a joint component 100, a hole-side weak press-fit portion 112 is formed at a hole 111 of a flat plate ring-shaped first member 110. Moreover, each of a shaft-side weak press-fit portion 122 and a shaft-side strong press-fit portion 124 is formed at a shaft portion 121 of a cylindrical second member 120. The hole-side weak press-fit portion 112 and the shaft-side weak press-fit portion 122 are defined by a first weak press-fit interference Lw1 formed thinner than a first strong press-fit interference Ls1. The shaft-side strong press-fit portion 124 is defined by a first strong press-fit interference Ls1 as the minimum necessary press-fit interference for electric resistance welding upon electric resistance welding between the hole 111 and the shaft portion 121.

A foot plate, a foot plate and post assembly and method of using. The post has a first exterior side, a second exterior side, a third exterior side, a fourth exterior side, and a bottom edge. The foot plate has a top surface, a bottom surface and an opening having a first interior side corresponding to the first exterior side of a post, a second interior side corresponding to the second exterior side of the post, a third interior side corresponding to the third exterior side of the post, and a fourth interior side corresponding to the fourth exterior side of the post, wherein the opening fits around the post such that the foot plate is unable to rotate around the post but the bottom edge of the post can be aligned with the bottom surface of the foot plate. One or more connections secure the bottom surface of the foot plate to the bottom edge of the post. A weld secures the top surface of the foot plate to the post.

PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED USE

For economical and energy-efficient use of a PV system having upright, in particular bifacial, PV modules and to substantially avoid shading of the PV modules, a supporting structure which is simple to manufacture and install is provided, that has vertical posts, which are connected to one another at intersecting points, and horizontally running cross-members such that rectangular mounting areas are provided for individual PV modules. The posts and cross-members are formed in a material-saving manner by conventional profiles, and dividing the posts into two interconnectable sections substantially facilitates the assembly. An electrical connection is provided such that active surfaces which are arranged one above another can be operated at different electrical operating points and such that electrical lines are formed which are operated separately from one another and are arranged in a horizontally running manner. This minimizes effects of shading of PV modules on the efficiency of the energy conversion.

Clamp assembly for mounting panels to I-beams

A clamp assembly is provided for securing a panel or fairing to an I-beam, and comprises a pair of side blocks and a clamping block, together with a single bolt to secure them in place. Each of the side blocks as an inclined wedge surface, and the T-shaped clamping block has similarly sloped wedge surfaces along the sides of the leg of the T. When a bolt this passed through side legs of the side blocks, and through or under the clamping block, a sliding and wedging action between the inclined and sloped wedge surfaces occurs. Moreover, a clamping action between the top surface of the clamping block and the lower surface of the lower flanges of the I-beam is also induced.

Reinforced hinged connector

A connector is provided to attach a supported member to a supporting member, with the supported member being in sloped and skewed relation to the supporting member. The connector has back members attached to side members. A seat member attaches to the side members through a hinged connection. The seat member interfaces with the bottom face of the supported member and can be disposed at a sloped angle. A pair of seat side members extend from the seat member.
