WALL ANCHOR WITH DEFORMABLE EXPANDABLE PART
20240271650 · 2024-08-15 ·

An anchor for hollow walls comprises a main body and an anchor member. The main body includes a proximal end adapted to be engaged by a rotatable tool to rotate the anchor about a longitudinal axis thereof and to cause it to gradually engage a wall, a distal end adapted to cut through the wall as the anchor is rotated, and a shank between the proximal and distal ends. The anchor member includes expandable wings and a body defining a hole, the expandable wings being in registry with respective slots defined in the shank and being displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions. A threaded fastener introduced in the anchor engages the body of the anchor member such that upon sufficient rotation of the fastener, the body of the anchor member retracts towards the proximal end thereby causing the expandable wings to extend outwardly through the slots behind the wall.

Built-up system, connector thereof, and method of making same

A connector for connecting a wood substrate to a concrete layer. The connector comprising a shank adapted to engagement with a bore in the wood substrate with a length of the shank aligned with a central axis of the bore, the shank having at least an external portion made of a cement-based composition. In the built-up system, the connectors can have transversal ductile collapse characteristics providing a structural ductility of at least 50% to the built-up system with the wood substrate and concrete layer maintaining an elastic behavior upon the transversal ductile collapse of the plurality of connectors.

VALVE ASSEMBLY WITH DIRECTIONAL FLOW PATH

A valve assembly with a multidirectional flow path includes a valve body that includes respective hinged portions defining respective passageways extending through the valve body when in a closed state. A flexible conduit or tubing having a loop portion and a plurality of branches extending from the loop portion is at least partially positioned within the valve body. Portions of the loop that extend beyond the valve body are encapsulated by respective rigid jackets. Multiple valves are situated on the valve body and are used to selectively pinch the loop portion in different pinching configurations to direct fluid to or from the particular branches. The valve assembly may be integrated into a manufacturing or other production process with optional additional jackets used to encapsulate the flexible conduit branches.

There is described provides a wall anchor for fixing to a hollow wall, such as a plasterboard wall, wherein said anchor comprises an L-shaped portion with a first arm and a second arm, an elongate back portion adapted to engage the inner surface of the wall, a hinge which connects the second arm of said L-shaped portion to said elongate back portion, and a resilient member which urges the elongate back portion to adopt a substantially perpendicular position relative to the second arm of the L-shaped portion. A method of deploying the wall anchor is also described.

Wallboard anchor

An anchor for wallboard installation includes an elongated anchor body including a driving end and a wall boring end. The anchor body has a main body portion running from the driving end toward the wall boring end. The wall boring end includes a plurality of axially cutting extending teeth. The anchor body includes an internal bore and diametrically opposed slots to facilitate split of an end portion of the anchor body when the anchor is installed in a wall and a fastener is inserted for mounting an object.
