Method for Connecting a First Component to a Second Component
A method connects a first component to a second component. The first component is located at a distance to the second component. The method includes: providing a spacer element which has a sleeve-shaped section with a through-opening and an outer thread; screwing the spacer element with the outer thread into a threaded bore which is provided in the second component; screwing the spacer element into a screwed position in which the spacer element protrudes out of the threaded bore such that the spacer element bridges the distance between the first and the second component, wherein the end face of the spacer element rests against the first component side facing the second component; and clamping together the two components and the spacer element by way of a screw which is screwed into the sleeve-shaped section of the spacer element or which passes through the sleeve-shaped section of the spacer element.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOCATIONAL IMAGE PROCESSING
Mobile data processing Systems (MSs) interact with systems in their vicinity, and with each other, in communications and interoperability. Graphical objects are recognized in an image field of view, for example to calculate, determine, or confirm location information.
SUBSTRATE ANCHORING DEVICE
A fastener for attaching together layers of a substrate. The fastener includes a slide body, a bolt, a conical spring, and a toggle having a pivot coupled with one end of the slide body. The conical spring is disposed over a shaft of the bolt and the shaft is engaged within the slide body. The slide body and toggle are inserted into an aperture through the layers of substrate in a first configuration until the conical spring contacts a front face of the layers of substrate. Compression of the conical spring against the front face advances the toggle a clearance length out of the aperture on a back face of the layers of a substrate such that the toggle can switch to a second configuration that prevents retraction through the aperture. Extension of the conical spring automatically engages the toggle with the back face of the substrate to prevent rotation of the slide body within the aperture.
Twisted helically shaped member
A twisted helically-shaped member (15) in the form of a twisted tie, twisted fastener, twisted wire or twisted rod; said twisted helically-shaped member (15) having an axial core (12) and a plurality of helical threads (13H) extending along the axial core (12); and wherein a variation in lead measurements along the length of at least one helical thread (13H), is less than a variation in pitch measurements along the lengths of the helical threads (13H); wherein the axial core (12) has a transverse cross-sectional area comprising two-fifths or less of the transverse circumscribed cross-sectional area of the helical threads (13H).
Multifunction drill bit with a replaceable tip
A multifunction drill bit includes an outer shank including an outer lock head, an outer shank body, and an axial hole wherein spiral grooves are on the outer shank body; from a joining portion of the outer shank body and the outer lock head to the outer lock head, a threaded section, a deformable section, and a guide section are provided; each of the threaded and deformable sections include first external threads; the deformable section has outer curved grooves; a deformable concave surface is on an inner surface of the deformable section; and first internal threads are on the guide section; and an inner shank in the axial hole and including a top socket, an inner lock head, and an inner shank body. Second external threads are on an inner surface of the guide section corresponding to the first internal threads. A tip of the drill bit is replaceable.

ANCHOR ASSEMBLY FOR FASTENER
An anchor assembly for walls comprises a toggle member and a strap member pivotally mounted together, and a locking member. In a first position, the toggle member is aligned with the strap member for insertion through the wall, whereas in a second position, the toggle member extends behind the wall at an angle relative to the strap member which extends from the toggle member through the hole in the wall. The locking member is adapted to be displaced along the strap member until it engages the wall and to be locked on the strap member. Therefore, the locking member and the toggle member are connected by the strap member and imprison the wall by abutting respectively the visible and hidden sides thereof. A fastener introduced through the locking member and the wall threadably engages an opening defined in the toggle member.
METHOD & MEANS OF FORMING THREADED TIES AND RODS
Method and means of manufacturing ties, fasteners and rods (15) having a plurality of longitudinal threads by forcing a coil of roll-profiled feed-wire made of steel (11) through a twisting-die made of plastic (1). Also described is: a twisting-die made of plastic (1) that is suitable for twisting profiled feed-wire (11) made of steel; a method of forming a plastic twisting die (1) using an driven tap (31) in the form of a twisted rod (15); and a helically-shaped member (15) having lead measurements (X) along the length of the helical thread that vary less than pitch measurements (Y) along the lengths of the helical threads.
