Anchor assembly for fastener

An anchor assembly for walls comprises a toggle member and a strap member pivotally mounted together, and a locking member. In a first position, the toggle member is aligned with the strap member for insertion through the wall, whereas in a second position, the toggle member extends behind the wall at an angle relative to the strap member which extends from the toggle member through the hole in the wall. The locking member is adapted to be displaced along the strap member until it engages the wall and to be locked on the strap member. Therefore, the locking member and the toggle member are connected by the strap member and imprison the wall by abutting respectively the visible and hidden sides thereof. A fastener introduced through the locking member and the wall threadably engages an opening defined in the toggle member.

WALL ANCHOR WITH DEFORMABLE EXPANDABLE PART
20220090616 · 2022-03-24 ·

An anchor for hollow walls comprises a main body and an anchor member. The main body includes a proximal end adapted to be engaged by a rotatable tool to rotate the anchor about a longitudinal axis thereof and to cause it to gradually engage a wall, a distal end adapted to cut through the wall as the anchor is rotated, and a shank between the proximal and distal ends. The anchor member includes expandable wings and a body defining a hole, the expandable wings being in registry with respective slots defined in the shank and being displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions, A threaded fastener introduced in the anchor engages the body of the anchor member such that upon sufficient rotation of the fastener, the body of the anchor member retracts towards the proximal end thereby causing the expandable wings to extend outwardly through the slots behind the wall.

Sill plate anchor assembly

An assembly for connecting a wooden sill plate to a concrete foundation slab. The assembly comprises a tapping drill bit and an anchor device. The tapping drill bit comprises a flute having a first flute section and a second flute section, the first flute section being longer and having a smaller diameter than the corresponding dimensions of the second flute section. The anchor device comprises a first anchor section and a second anchor section. The anchor device is structured such that the first anchor section is configured for embedment into the concrete foundation slab, and the second anchor section is configured for embedment in the wooden sill plate. The anchor device thereby delivers an advantageous distribution of shear forces that act on the wooden sill plate in relation to the concrete floor slab.

ANCHOR FOR HOLLOW WALLS

An anchor (910) for mounting to a hollow wall (W) made of friable material comprises a proximal flanged end (918) adapted to be engaged by a rotatable tool (B) to rotate the anchor (910) about a longitudinal axis (A) thereof and to cause is to gradually engage the wall (W). The anchor (910) also includes a distal end (912) adapted to cut through the wall (W) as the anchor (910) is rotated, and a shank (920) extending between the proximal and distal ends (918, 912). The shank (920) includes at least one expandable leg (924) that is in a collapsed position thereof when the anchor (910) is rotated to mount it to the wall (W) and that is located distally beyond a non visible surface of the wall (W) once the anchor (910) has been mounted to the wall and is in a first position thereof. The wall anchor (910) includes an outer thread (922) that securely engages the wall (W). A threaded fastener (B), e.g. a screw, is adapted to be introduced in the anchor (910) and to threadably engage the same distally of the leg (924) such that sufficient rotation of the threaded fastener (B) retracts the distal end (912) towards the proximal end (918) thereby causing the leg (924) to displace to a laterally expanded position thereof and to engage the non visible surface of the wall (W).

EXPANSION-TYPE ANCHOR, SLEEVE USED IN SAME, AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD

Provided is an expansion-type anchor with excellent pull-out strength. The anchor comprises an anchor body 1 that has an expansion section 3 split by an inner slit 2, and a sleeve 9 to enclose and hold the expansion section 3 of the anchor body 1. The sleeve 9 is split into a plurality of follower expansion sections by an outer main slit 10 and an outer auxiliary slit 11. A group of balls 4 is disposed inside the anchor body 1, and the expansion section 3 expands into a tapered shape when the group of balls 4 is pressed by an expansion bolt 6. When a pull-out force is applied to the anchor body 1, the sleeve 9 does not retract and deforms by expanding after the retraction of the anchor body 1. As a result, the anchor body 1 is prevented from retracting by way of the sleeve 9 being sandwiched between a prepared hole 13 and the expansion section 3.

The invention relates to an anchor rod (10) for a chemical anchor system for use in a bore hole filled with mortar mass, which anchor rod has an anchoring region (12), which comprises the front end (16) of the anchor rod (10), and a connecting region (14), which has a thread (24) and, at the front end of the connecting region, a transition region (28), wherein the thread (24) is provided at least partially in the transition region (28) and is sealed with a coating (30) in the transition region (28).

Self-drilling anchor assembly

A self-drilling anchor assembly including a drill bit and an anchor positioned over and attached to the drill bit. In various embodiments, the drill bit includes a shank, a drill head integrally connected to one end of the shank, and a threaded tail integrally connected to an opposite end of the shank. The tail includes a mechanical engaging structure that is engageable by a tool to rotate the drill bit, and a helical thread formation to facilitate attachment of a securing device such as nut and washer to the tail of the drill bit. The anchor includes an elongated generally tubular body including an inner surface defining a longitudinally extending inner channel, and a head integrally connected to and extending from a first end of the body. The drill bit is configured to remain in the anchor and in the substrate after installation of the anchor assembly in the substrate.
