Toe notch plate
10556362 · 2020-02-11 ·

A toe notch plate is described that attaches to a router and maintains the router at a predefined angle from a work piece. The toe notch plants further maintains a router bit at a consistent and predetermined distance from an edge of the work piece. When the router is moved along the edge of the work piece, the toe notch plate causes a groove to be formed in the work piece, where the groove has a structure suitable for use of a nail gun or a staple gun, and an entry point for nails or staples. This allows the work piece with the groove to be toe nailed to another piece of wood.

SURGICAL END EFFECTORS WITH STAPLE CARTRIDGES

A method for deforming a staple comprising a base, a first staple leg, and a second staple leg, wherein the base, the first staple leg, and the second staple leg are positioned within a common plane prior to being deformed, the method comprising positioning the first staple leg within a first cup of a staple pocket, the first cup comprising a first inner surface, applying a first compressive force to the first staple leg to bend the first staple leg toward the base and the second staple leg, contacting the first inner surface with the end of the first staple leg to bend the end of the first staple leg toward a first side of the base, and deforming the first staple leg such that the end of the first staple leg crosses a mid-line of the staple defined between the first staple leg and the second staple leg.

Reel drive assembly

A modular reel drive assembly comprises two reel drive tower modules (12, 14), a reel hub adapter (54) and a reel hub adapter support module (22, 24). The hub adapter support module (22, 24) comprises at least one support pin which is configured to be movable between a storage position in which the at least one support pin is not aligned with at least one aperture (38, 39, 40, 41) on the hub adapter support module (22, 24) and an operational position in which the support pin is aligned with at least one aperture (38, 39, 40, 41) on the hub adapter support module (22, 24).

Adhesive film including a (meth)acrylate matrix including a curable epoxy/thiol resin composition, tape, and method

A thermally curable adhesive film, a tape, and a method of making the tape, wherein the film includes: a crosslinked (meth)acrylate matrix; and a thermally curable, one-part epoxy/thiol resin composition incorporated within the crosslinked (meth)acrylate matrix; wherein the thermally curable, one-part epoxy/thiol resin composition comprises: an epoxy resin component comprising an epoxy resin having at least two epoxide groups per molecule; a thiol component comprising a polythiol compound having at least two thiol groups; a nitrogen-containing catalyst for the epoxy resin; and an organic acid.

Self-Sealing Mounting and Fastening Element
20240084895 · 2024-03-14 ·

A sealing fastening member has a main body that in turn has a central bore for receiving a fastener, a bottom contact surface, and a protruding portion protruding from the bottom contact surface. Initially, the fastener extends through the central bore and at least partially into an underlying surface; the protruding portion is in contact with the underlying surface. The bottom contact surface is thereby being at a distance from the underlying surface. The protruding portion then at least partially liquifies under the force of an installation action carried out on the fastener and seals around a point of penetration of the underlying surface by the fastener. During a second phase, the bottom contact surface is in contact with the underlying surface and the fastener is secured in the underlying surface.

Insulated staple and staple collation

An insulated staple includes a staple including a crown extending between a pair of legs and an insulator including an insulator bridge extending between a pair of insulator legs and a channel extending from an end of one of the insulator legs to an end of the other of the insulator legs. The staple is at least partially received in the channel. A width of the channel at the insulator bridge is greater than a thickness of the staple crown. The insulator includes protrusions extending into the channel and defining therebetween a gap that, in absence of the staple, has a width less than the width of the staple crown to provide a friction fit between the staple crown and the insulator.

A fastening system for a window shade includes a first and a second clipping base, and a first and a second clipping plate. In a first configuration, the first and second clipping bases are attached to each other with each of the first and second clipping plates respectively disposed between and in contact with the first and second clipping bases, whereby a first panel can be held between the first clipping base and the first and second clipping plates and a second panel can be held between the second clipping base and the first and second clipping plates. In a second configuration, the first and second clipping bases are attachable to each other without the first and second clipping plates, whereby a single panel of a window shade can be held between the first and clipping bases.
