HIGH STRENGTH FASTENERS, DRIVERS, AND FASTENER SYSTEMS
Fasteners, drivers, and fastener systems constructed wherein example fasteners have driver engageable surfaces on or within a shank tip of the fastener. Example embodiments are included where at least one of the installation and removal surfaces are configured to define a segment of a spiral. Some example embodiments are also included where the installation and removal drive surfaces intersect an enlarged core diameter in an inner transitional surface that extends between the installation and removal surfaces of adjacent wings. Embodiments include fasteners with installation and removal drive surfaces on or within a shank tip of fasteners.
Locking Thread Fasteners
The present specification discloses a locking fastener that includes a first threaded fastener axially positioned within an axial through hole of a second threaded fastener, and captured therein by a rotating joint that permits rotation of the first threaded fastener and the second threaded fastener relative to one another about a common thread axis. In one or more embodiments, the first threaded fastener thread handedness is opposite to the second threaded fastener thread handedness. Additionally disclosed, is a screwdriver tool configured to simultaneously engage and oppositely rotate the first threaded fastener and the second threaded fastener into a mating component having a first mating thread and a second mating thread configured to receive the first threaded fastener and the second threaded fastener, respectively, driven at the same axial advance distance for each turn. Once tightened, the present locking fastener resists loosening and provides a tamper-resistant hold.
SEQUENTIAL TORQUE APPLICATION RETENTION SYSTEM
A sequential torque application retention system includes a driver mechanism having a shaft; a center drive coupled to a tip end; an outboard drive coupled to the tip end; a screw including a screw head with a central receiver, the central receiver corresponding to the center drive, the central receiver configured to receive the center drive; a pair of outboard receivers formed in the screw head corresponding to the outboard drive, the pair of outboard receivers configured to receive the outboard drive; wherein the center drive is engaged with the screw head at the central receiver responsive to an initial torque and the outboard drive is engaged with the screw head at the pair of outboard receivers responsive to a subsequent torque; and wherein the outboard receivers are positioned so that they do not engage with the outboard drive responsive to the initial torque.
Modular driver and screw system
The combination of a driver and fastener that allows a user to insert and remove the fastener by applying larger than normal torque loads to it includes: (a) a fastener with a proximal end handle and a distal end head configured to provide a standard indentation and an additional recess that provides additional surface area that allows larger torque loads to be applied to the fastener, (b) a main driver with a shaft having a central bore, a handle at its proximal end and a head at its distal end configured to allow it to be temporarily inserted into the fastener's head, and (c) an awl driver having an awl shaft with an awl handle affixed to its distal end and its proximal end including a tip configured to allow it to pass through the main driver's bore and be brought into contact with the fastener's head where it is used to cut into the fastener cannula so as to temporarily adhere the awl driver to the fastener.
Fastener
A fastener includes a connecting member and a handling member. The connecting member has a first axis and an accommodating space extended along the first axis. The handling member having a second axis is movably disposed in the accommodating space and movable between a first position and a second position. When located at the first position, the handling member is disposed in the accommodating space in a way that the second axis is approximately coaxial with the first axis of the connecting member. When located at the second position, the handling member is positioned on the connecting member in a way that an included angle is provided between the second axis and the first axis so that the handling member can be rotated by an external force to drive the connecting member to rotate at a to-be fastened position.

Tightening tool for a screw element having a line, and coupling part and screw element
Disclosed is a tightening tool for a screw element, having a tool receptacle and an associated line. A coupling part is provided, which is formed at a free end for engaging with the tool receptacle in a form-closed manner and transitions into a handle or can be coupled to a handle at the other end. The coupling part has an interior and at least one lateral opening for inserting or leading out the line at least at the free end of the coupling part. The interior and the opening extend to the free end and are open there. The invention further relates to a coupling part and to a screw element.
FLAT-FORMED BOLT
A flat-formed bolt is divided into an operating portion and a screwing portion, wherein the operating portion and the screwing portion are plat-formed and co-axially correspond to each other. The screwing portion has two opposite sides each formed with a series of teeth, wherein the two series of teeth are staggered relative to each other and each tooth vertically corresponds to an axis of the operating portion and the screwing portion such that the screwing portion can be screwed into a threaded hole previously defined in a work piece.
