Fastener
A fastener includes a connecting member and a handling member. The connecting member has a first axis and an accommodating space extended along the first axis. The handling member having a second axis is movably disposed in the accommodating space and movable between a first position and a second position. When located at the first position, the handling member is disposed in the accommodating space in a way that the second axis is approximately coaxial with the first axis of the connecting member. When located at the second position, the handling member is positioned on the connecting member in a way that an included angle is provided between the second axis and the first axis so that the handling member can be rotated by an external force to drive the connecting member to rotate at a to-be fastened position.
FASTENER ELEMENT BONDED TO ANOTHER FASTENER ELEMENT
An assembly is provided that includes a first fastener element and a second fastener element. The first fastener element is secured to the second fastener element with bonding material. The first fastener element may be spacer such as a washer. The second fastener element may be a fastener or a washer.
Bone anchor locking device
A bone anchor locking device for receiving a bone anchor having a shank and an enlarged head, the device has a bone anchor, a dome and a conical split washer. The receiving portion has a base extending radially outward and inwardly to a wall. The dome has a center aperture sized to pass a bone anchor. The split washer has an inner conical surface sloped to slide and expand against at least a portion of the base on insertion of a bone anchor to allow a maximum diameter of a head of a bone anchor to pass and thereafter the split washer retracts overlying the maximum diameter of the head to prevent a bone anchor from backing out.
Vehicle wheel lock assembly
A vehicle wheel lock assembly includes a main body and a first sleeve. The main body has a wheel engaging end, a key portion, a first supporting section and a key receiving end. The key portion has a plurality of surface contours defining a first key pattern configured to couple with a tool for torsional movement of the main body. The first sleeve has an open end and a closed end. The open end is installed to the first supporting section of the main body such that the closed end of the first sleeve covers the key receiving end with the key portion exposed relative to the first sleeve. The first sleeve is retained by the first supporting section for rotation about the central axis of the main body and is non-movably retained relative to an axial direction of the main body.
Spring bolt assembly apparatus and methods of use and manufacture thereof
Some embodiments are directed to an apparatus for facilitating manual connection of a spring bolt assembly to a mounting structure. A handle is connected to a bolt holder. The bolt holder can define a proximal section adjacent the handle, a spring support, a front concavity disposed between the spring support and the proximal section, and a rear concavity disposed distally relative to the spring support. The front concavity can be configured to retain a bolt head and a washer of the spring bolt assembly. The spring support can be configured and disposed to retain a spring of the spring bolt assembly. A retainer can be disposed at a distal end of the bolt holder, and can be configured to contact the mounting structure so as to retain the mounting structure within the rear concavity, while also facilitating attachment of a nut to a distal end of the bolt shaft.
SECURE ATTACHMENT
An automobile license plate attachment device includes a wheel part that includes a slot located between two ridges at an outer circumference of the wheel part. A fastener attaches the wheel part over a license plate. An externally threaded structure is shaped to fit over and cover the wheel part when the wheel part is attached over the license plate. The externally threaded structure includes at least one screw hole into which a headless socket screw can be attached to extend into the slot of the wheel part. The headless socket screw holds the externally threaded structure to the license plate. An internally threaded structure with threads matched allows screwing the internally threaded structure on the externally threaded structure. The externally threaded structure includes a slot into which a tool may be placed to prevent the externally threaded structure from spinning around the wheel part when the internally threaded structure is screwed on and off the externally threaded structure.
Secure attachment
A license plate attachment device includes a cap that covers a nut or a screw used to attach a license plate to an automobile or frame attached to the automobile frame. An anchor bearing anchors the license plate to the automobile or frame so that an outer periphery of the anchor bearing rotates freely while the anchor bearing is held tightly in place on the automobile or frame. The anchor bearing has a slot located at the outer periphery. The cap is secured to the anchor bearing using a first headless socket screw and a second headless socket screw. A socket size of the first headless socket screw is different than a socket size of the second headless socket screw.
SECURING MEANS AND SYSTEM FOR PRE-MOUNTING A PENCIL-SHAPED CONNECTING ELEMENT
A securing device for a pre-assembly of a pin-shaped connecting element in a through-opening of a component The securing element includes a sleeve with and an inner side and with a flat outer wall having a recess arranged therein, and holding elements each of which protrude inwardly. The holding elements are arranged on the inner side of the sleeve. The recess is arranged into the flat outer wall of the sleeve and provides a latching engagement of a lug which is arranged in the through-opening during the pre-assembly.
HIGH SECURITY FASTENER WITH INTERNAL SHROUD BUCKLED RETAINER
An improved fastener comprising a fastener body orientated about a central axis and having a tool-engaging portion, a threaded fastening portion and a shroud-receiving portion having an inwardly facing annular groove orientated transverse to the central axis; a shroud concentrically mounted on the shroud-receiving portion to rotate relative to the fastener body under an applied external torque and having an axially-buckled radially-extending annular protrusion extending outwardly transverse to the central axis and disposed in the inwardly facing annular groove of the shroud-receiving portion of the body; the axially-buckled radially-extending annular protrusion of the shroud and the annular groove of the shroud-receiving portion of the body forming a shroud-retaining element restraining the shroud from movement in at least a first axial direction along the central axis.
Cable lug comprising a nut or functional part, method for the production of such a cable lug, and nut
A cable lug or functional part in combination with a nut is provided. The cable lug or functional part has a tubular receiving portion for a cable, an integrally formed flat part connecting portion connected to the tubular receiving portion, the flat part connecting portion having a hole therethrough defined by a wall said hole having a central axis. The nut includes a body having an undercut. The nut is held captively and rotatably on the flat part connecting portion. The nut does not pass through the flat part connecting portion is held by a reshaped holding material portion of the flat part connecting portion which projects into the undercut. The reshaped holding material portion is accommodated in the undercut, and an axial clearance is provided between the reshaped holding material and the wall which defines the hole.
