A bearing assembly includes at least one inner ring and at least one outer ring, and at least one surface of the inner or outer ring is partially colored with an acid-free ink. If the at least one surface includes a surface defect such as a scratch in a black-oxide coating, the acid-free ink may be applied to the scratch to at least partially conceal it.

Wind turbine comprising a yaw bearing system

The invention relates to a wind turbine comprising a plurality of individual yaw bearing units and a method of replacing a pad of such a yaw bearing unit. The yaw bearing unit comprises a caliper structure divided into an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion can be dismounted without also dismounting the upper portion. An upper pad is provided between a flange providing support for a nacelle and a mainframe of the nacelle. A radial pad is arranged on a radial surface of the upper portion and contacts a stop element located at either ends of the upper portion. An adjustable lower pad is arranged in a through hole in the lower portion and can be replaced via a lower opening in the lower portion. The radial pad can be replaced in a sideward direction by removing one of the stop elements or replacing it in an axial direction by removing the lower portion.

Bearing repair under high loading condition

A repair axial bearing system includes an arcuate rail coupled to a support, one or more bolts protruding upward from a raised portion coupled to a supported member, and a lever plate including at least one low friction bearing pad mounted in the lever plate. A first new bearing surface is formed on the arcuate rail. A second new bearing surface is formed on the at least one low friction bearing pad. The one or more bolts are tensioned with bolt tensioners to press the lever plate against the raised portion. The axial bearing system can include a hydraulic cylinder to slide the second bearing surface over the first bearing surface. The repair axial bearing system can be used to supplant a damaged axial bearing positioned between an FPSO and a turret.

A rolled-on-surface element of a rolling-element bearing assembly has a rolled-on surface configured to support a plurality of rolling elements, a cavity in the rolled-on surface having an opening smaller than 25% of a total area of the rolled-on surface, and an insert press-fit in the cavity such that an exposed surface of the insert forms a portion of the rolled-on surface. Also, a method of repairing a rolled-on surface of a rolled-on-surface element using an insert.

Slew bearing, method for using a slew bearing, hoisting crane and vessel

A slew bearing includes a stationary bearing ring to be fixed to a base, a moveable bearing ring to be fixed to a moveable object, wherein the stationary bearing ring and the moveable bearing ring are configured to enable rotation of the moveable bearing ring relative to the stationary bearing ring about a rotation axis. A main axial bearing and an auxiliary bearing are provided between the stationary bearing ring and the moveable bearing ring, wherein the moveable bearing ring includes one or more main portions and one or more auxiliary portions, which one or more main portions are moveable relative to the one or more auxiliary portions between an operational position, in which the main axial bearing transfers the axial loads between moveable bearing ring and stationary bearing ring, and a maintenance position, in which the auxiliary axial bearing transfers the axial loads between moveable bearing ring and stationary bearing ring and the main bearing is allowed to be inspected and/or maintained so that the slew bearing during inspection and/or maintenance is still operational.

Management system and motion guidance device

In a management system which manages user equipment installed in a prescribed space managed by a user, the user equipment including a plurality of motion guidance devices each including a track member, a moving member, and a plurality of displacement sensors which detect displacements of the moving member in a prescribed number of displacement directions in the moving member, on the basis of lifespan-related information corresponding to each of the plurality of motion guidance devices, a lifespan exhaustion ratio of each motion guidance device is calculated and, on the basis of the calculated lifespan exhaustion ratio, replacement object devices to be replaced within a prescribed period which constitute a part of or all of the plurality of motion guidance devices are determined. In addition, a user is notified of a replacement timing at which all of the determined replacement object devices in the user equipment are to be replaced.
