Magnetic preloading of bearings in rotating machines
In rotating machine having a vertically oriented rotating shaft, a static magnetic force is used to simulate rotor weight and create the desired bearing preload. By installing a magnet the gravity based preload on the shaft journal bearings of a horizontal machine can be simulated for a vertical shaft. This can increase rotor stability, reduce the machine's vulnerability to hydraulically induced imbalance forces and give a more smooth transition through various shaft speeds.
DRIVE TRAIN LINKAGE AND METHOD THEREFOR
A drive train linkage includes a drive arm having a drive arm pivot axis, a driven arm having a driven arm pivot axis, at least one first coupling member extending between and being rotatably coupled to each of the drive arm and driven arm, and at least one second coupling member extending between and being rotatably coupled to each of the drive arm and driven arm so that the at least one second coupling member opposes the at least one first coupling member, where the at least one first coupling member and the at least one second coupling member are coupled to both the drive arm and the driven arm so to form a substantially zero mechanical deadband coupling between the drive arm and the driven arm.
CARRIAGE LIFT ASSEMBLY FOR STORAGE HANDLING AND ARTICLE RETRIEVAL
The present disclosure relates to a carriage lift assembly including a mast member, a top and bottom bearing assembly, one or more belt members, one or more belt tensioner assemblies, and one or more carriage assemblies. Each belt tensioner assembly defines a first clamping block and a second clamping block for securing a first and a second end, respectively, of a belt member to provide initial tension, and a pair of bolt members adjusted to move a slidable plate member upon which the second block is coupled to provide final tension. Each carriage assembly is removably attached to a corresponding belt tensioner assembly, and defines a center plate and two side plates. Each side plate defines at least a removable set of guiding wheels and a first set of guiding members.
Telescopic arm for a refuse vehicle
A telescopic side arm for a refuse vehicle has an inner and outer boom. A mounting assembly secures the outer boom with a refuse vehicle. A plurality of bearing pads is positioned between the inner and outer booms to provide smooth movement between the inner and outer booms. A plurality of shims is associated with the bearing pads to assure a tight fit between the inner and outer booms.

Air foil bearing assembly
An air foil bearing assembly is provided. The air foil bearing assembly includes a bearing housing that has a hollow into which a rotary shaft is fitted and a slot of which both ends are open toward front and rear sides formed on an inner circumference surface of the hollow. A bump foil is provided to have a combining portion inserted to the slot and disposed in the inner circumference surface of the hollow. A top foil having a combining portion is inserted to the slot and is disposed in an inner side of the bump foil. A stopper is disposed on one of the combining portions of the bump foil or the top foil to prevent the combining portion of the bump foil or the top foil from being displaced from the slot toward the front and rear sides.
Wheel connecting structure and baby carrier
The present disclosure relates to a wheel connecting structure and a baby carrier. The wheel connecting structure includes a fixed base, a rotatable base, a rotating shaft and an anti-swing member. The rotatable base is rotatably connected to the fixed base by the rotating shaft. The anti-swing member has an abutting portion. The anti-swing member is arranged on one of the fixed base and the rotatable base, and the abutting portion abuts against the other of the fixed base and the rotatable base. The abutting portion is provided with a lubricating structure.
Fluid bearing systems and methods
A fluid bearing includes a housing including an internal plenum disposed in the housing and an inlet in fluid communication with the plenum, wherein the inlet is configured to provide fluid to the plenum from an external source, a cushion surface facing away from the housing and the plenum, one or more nozzles positioned between the cushion surface and the housing, wherein the one or more nozzles extend from the plenum to the surrounding environment, wherein the one or more nozzles are configured to produce an annular curtain of fluid flowing at a velocity of at least Mach 1 and disposed about the cushion surface in response to a fluid flow entering the plenum from the inlet.
RECIRCULATING ROLLER BEARING
The present application relates to a field of bearing technology and relates to a recirculating roller bearing, including a front cover plate, a rear cover plate, an inner supporter, a sealing covering and a plurality of rolling carriers and at least one connector, in which the front cover plate and the rear cover plate are detachable connected on two sides of the inner supporter respectively; a circulating guiding path is defined by the front cover plate, the rear cover plate, the inner supporter and the sealing covering, the circulating guiding path includes a sealing portion and an opened load-bearing portion; the rolling carriers are filled in the circulating guiding path, each of the rolling carriers forms a rolling fit with the inner supporter, and each of the rolling carrier forms a rolling fit with a retractable fork when passing the opened load-bearing portion of the circulating guiding path.
