Universal joint system
A universal joint system is provided for joining tubular members to form two-dimensional or three-dimensional shapes or structures. The system includes a plurality of cubic elements, a plurality of adaptor elements, a plurality of connection elements, and a plurality of insertion elements. Structures or shapes built with the system can have a smooth and continuous appearance. In addition, the construction of varies structures or shapes requires only few kinds of elements and no special tool or training is needed.
Clutch ring gear assembly and method of construction thereof
A clutch ring gear assembly and method of construction thereof are provided. The assembly has a bearing seat including a flange extending radially outwardly from a central axis. The flange has a plurality of holes spaced circumferentially from one another about the central axis. A ring gear carrier includes a rim extending radially outwardly from the central axis. The rim has a plurality of through openings. Each of the through openings of the rim has an annular boss extending axially away from the rim in generally parallel relation to the central axis. The annular bosses are disposed within the holes and have hollow, annular end portions flared radially outwardly into engagement with the flange of said bearing seat to fixedly attach the ring gear carrier to the bearing seat.
Bicycle chain device
A bicycle chain device that includes a mounting bracket configured to be affixed to a bicycle. The bicycle has a solitary bicycle front sprocket. A cage is movably mounted to the mounting bracket so that the cage is positioned adjacent to the front sprocket. The cage has a chain-receiving slot, through which a bicycle chain passes. The cage is configured to move in accordance with a shifting operation of a bicycle rear derailleur to maintain alignment with a chain to prevent the chain from falling off the sprocket.
Serration having an offset construction point
A component that is to be mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation and transmits torque along with a rotating partner includes a first serration that extends about the axis of rotation and is to mesh with the rotating partner which has an adequate second serration mating with the first serration. The first serration has a plurality of teeth which have tooth tips extending substantially in the direction of the axis of rotation and tooth valleys located between the tooth tips. The tooth tips of the first serration each have a meshing edge forming a first line, while the tooth valleys located between the teeth each define a second line. At least two adjacent second lines intersect at an imaginary point lying between the axis of rotation and the maximum circumference of the first serration, in the semicircular surface beyond the axis of rotation.
Patient platform connection device
An adjustable support apparatus for a surgery table utilizing a platform having first and second end portions. First and second end supports are used to mount the platform which is adjusted by a carriage having a pawl operator. The carriage includes studs having support surfaces for the platform. A tower utilizing a gear rack interacts with the carriage pawl operator to position the platform relative to the first and second end support of the surgery table.
Trampoline support structure
A trampoline support structure includes a manifold, a first annular tube, a mesh encircled tube, a second annular tube and a support tube. The manifold includes a longitudinal installation portion, a transverse installation portion and an installation hole located on the transverse installation portion. The first annular tube includes a first assembly section inserted into the transverse installation portion and an anchor hole located on the first assembly section. The mesh encircled tube includes an anchor section inserted into the installation hole, the anchor hole and the longitudinal installation portion. The second annular tube includes a second assembly section inserted into the first assembly section. The anchor section, the longitudinal installation portion and the support tube form a multi-layer structure, thus can solve the problem of inadequate structural strength occurred to the conventional techniques.
PISTON TO DAMPER TAB RIVET CONNECTION
A drive assembly of a torque converter is provided. The drive assembly includes a piston having at least one tab, and a damper assembly. The piston is fixed to the damper assembly by the at least one tab. A method of forming a drive assembly for a torque convert is also provided. The method of forming a drive assembly for a torque converter includes fixing a piston and a damper assembly together by a plurality of piston tabs forming a riveted connection. A torque converter is also provided.
ADJUSTABLE PTO MOUNTING DEVICES AND METHODS
Systems and methods for mounting components to machinery, including machinery with a rotatable shaft, are disclosed. Embodiments include systems and methods for mounting auxiliary devices, such as hydraulic pumps or electric generators, to a power takeoff (PTO). In some embodiments, the mounting system maintains alignment of the auxiliary device with the PTO while allowing hand rotation of the auxiliary device to an appropriate orientation and secures the auxiliary device to the PTO in the selected orientation. Embodiments include a stationary member that connects to a PTO and captures a rotatable member between the stationary member and the PTO. When the appropriate orientation of the auxiliary device is achieved, the rotatable member can be moved toward the auxiliary device to connect to the auxiliary device and to engage the stationary member (and to possibly engage teeth in the stationary member) to lock the orientation of the rotatable member.
Battery pack release with tactile feedback for cordless power tools
Battery packs include a battery pack housing, at least one battery release member held by the battery housing, a (blind) latch held by the battery pack housing in communication with the battery release member that releaseably locks the battery pack to a device, and a tactile feedback mechanism that is held by the battery pack housing and is in communication with the battery release member. The tactile feedback mechanism generates a tactile feedback that reduces or increases an application force required by a user to manually actuate the at least one release member. The tactile feedback transmitted through the at least one battery release member. The tactile feedback is generated when the at least one release member has been manually actuated by the user a sufficient distance to allow the user to easily remove the battery pack from the device.
Coupling Support
A drive shaft coupling support assembly includes a support beam mounted on a roller support and a housing movable along the beam between use and non-use positions. The housing includes a camming mechanism that can engage and securely hold the drive, shaft in a stationary position relative to the roller support to enable the replacement driven shaft to be readily re-engaged with the drive shaft. The camming mechanism is operable without the use of any tools. and the support assembly is able to be secured directly to a roller support to minimize the complexity of the assembly utilized to hold the drive shaft.
