Method for tightening a thread joint
A method for tightening a thread joint of a base part with a small thread pitch and a part to be attached with a large thread pitch by rotation in screw-in direction of a differential thread connector, including portions of a one-directional thread corresponding to the threads of the base part and the part to be attached. The differential thread connector can be screwed on the small thread of the base part to a predetermined length, subsequently the part to be attached is screwed on the large thread of the differential thread connector until contact with the base part is reached, and the preliminary tightening is carried out in screw-in direction, and subsequently the differential thread connector is rotated in screw-out direction and the final tightening is carried out.

A method for tightening a thread joint of a base part with a small thread pitch and a part to be attached with a large thread pitch by rotation in screw-in direction of a differential thread connector, including portions of a one-directional thread corresponding to the threads of the base part and the part to be attached. The differential thread connector can be screwed on the small thread of the base part to a predetermined length, subsequently the part to be attached is screwed on the large thread of the differential thread connector until contact with the base part is reached, and the preliminary tightening is carried out in screw-in direction, and subsequently the differential thread connector is rotated in screw-out direction and the final tightening is carried out.

Disclosed are techniques for managing the application of a force by a drive mechanism in a drug delivery device as well as devices for implementing the disclosed techniques. One or more driving arms may be operable to drive a respective ratchet wheel and one or more sensor contacts may be positioned to determine when a respective driving arm is to be controlled to no longer drive the respective ratchet wheel thereby saving electrical power. The disclosed techniques and devices may be incorporated in a drug delivery device, such as those carried by a person or affixed to the skin of a person.
Dual wheel swivel caster with a torque limiter and associated method
A dual wheel swivel caster includes a swivel assembly, a horn, a rig hub, a solid axle, at least one ring of roller bearings, first and second wheel assemblies, and at least one ring of bearings. The first wheel assembly has a first wheel axis, and includes an annular plate element. The torque limiter is configured to rotatably couple the first and second wheel assemblies with the solid axle when the torque between the annular plate element and the torque limiter is below a preset value. The torque limiter is configured to rotatably decouple the first wheel assembly from the solid axle and the second wheel assembly when the torque exceeds the preset value. The ring of bearings is configured to allow the first wheel assembly to rotate independently of the solid axle and the second wheel assembly about the rotational axis when the torque exceeds the preset value.
Coupler system
A coupler system for connecting elongate, horizontally disposed rods to vertical supports includes a top-cap component for attaching to the top of a vertical support, and including a body with plural cavities formed therein, and at least one ball-cap component for attaching to an end of a rod, and including a ball region that is constructed to fit within one of the plural cavities of the top-cap component. The body may be formed with four of the plural cavities, with each of them having beveled edges. The ball-cap components may include a ball region, a neck region, and an angled region located adjacent the neck region and away from the ball region. The top-cap and ball-cap components may include insertion regions with opposing sets of ribs. The coupler system may further include a cover component, and the body may be formed with a central hole for receiving a fastener that secures the cover component to the top-cap component.
DUAL WHEEL SWIVEL CASTER WITH A TORQUE LIMITER AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A dual wheel swivel caster includes a swivel assembly, a horn, a rig hub, a solid axle, at least one ring of roller bearings, first and second wheel assemblies, and at least one ring of bearings. The first wheel assembly has a first wheel axis, and includes an annular plate element. The torque limiter is configured to rotatably couple the first and second wheel assemblies with the solid axle when the torque between the annular plate element and the torque limiter is below a preset value. The torque limiter is configured to rotatably decouple the first wheel assembly from the solid axle and the second wheel assembly when the torque exceeds the preset value. The ring of bearings is configured to allow the first wheel assembly to rotate independently of the solid axle and the second wheel assembly about the rotational axis when the torque exceeds the preset value.
V-belt type continuously variable transmission
A V-belt type continuously variable transmission of an air-cooled type mounted on a vehicle. The V-belt type continuously variable transmission includes an intake port for taking air into the V-belt type continuously variable transmission, and an exhaust port for exhausting air from the V-belt type continuously variable transmission. The V-belt type continuously variable transmission further includes at least one of an electric intake fan connected to the intake port directly or via an intake duct, and an electric exhaust fan connected to the exhaust port directly or via an exhaust duct.
UNIVERSAL ADAPTER ASSEMBLY FOR VALVE ACTUATOR
A universal adapter assembly for coupling a valve actuator to a plurality of different valves having different actuator engagement configurations includes a plurality of interchangeable connectors, a drive shaft, and an adapter bracket. Each of the plurality of interchangeable connectors corresponds to one of the different actuator engagement configurations. Each of the plurality of interchangeable connectors has a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end is configured to engage a valve control knob of a valve having the corresponding actuator engagement configuration. The drive shaft is configured to engage the proximal end of each of the plurality of interchangeable connectors. The adapter bracket is configured to be coupled to the valve. The adapter bracket is further configured to include an opening to receive the drive shaft. The adapter bracket is further configured to include a set of apertures corresponding to the actuator engagement configuration. The adapter bracket is further configured to secure the adapter bracket to a mounting pad of the valve.
