The invention allows a rider to operate a bicycle in a recumbent position, and steer the bicycle using a direct underseat steering system. The recumbent position, compared to the typical upright riding position, greatly reduces air resistance and required effort. The direct underseat steering system is mechanically simple, which makes is less costly to manufacture, and the direct steering system is also less likely than linkage-based systems to be damaged in a crash. The frame geometry allows the manufacturer to use inexpensive materials and techniques, while still providing the rider adequate stiffness and durability.

WHEEL MODULE
20190040921 · 2019-02-07 ·

A wheel module according to an embodiment includes a wheel, a motor, a shaft, a holding member and a brake. A tire is mounted on the wheel. The motor is arranged on the inner side of the wheel and includes a stator and a rotor. The shaft is fixed to the rotor coaxially with a rotation axis of the rotor and transmits rotation force of the rotor to the wheel. The holding member holds the stator. The brake restricts rotation of the shaft. One end portion of the holding member in the axial direction of the rotation axis of the rotor is fixed to and supported by a support member. The brake is on the opposite side to the wheel with the support member interposed therebetween. The shaft extends to an inner portion of the brake while passing through through-holes formed in the one end portion and the supporting member.

Disc brake for a commercial vehicle
12066070 · 2024-08-20 · ·

A disc brake for commercial vehicle includes a brake caliper and brake pads for clamping the brake disc. The brake caliper has a first inside space with an opening on a side facing the brake disc for receiving a clamping device, and the brake caliper has a second inside space for receiving the brake disc. The brake caliper and brake pads have advantages in terms of installation space and is lightweight and reduces production costs. The brake caliper includes clamping-side lugs and reaction-side lugs. The lugs on each side define a channel for receiving the brake pads for each side. The brake pads include supporting surfaces and bearing surfaces on their perimeter that correspond to the arrangement of the lugs. The lugs on the clamping side define an L-shape. The axial length of supporting surfaces of the clamping side brake pad is shorter than that of the clamping-side lugs.

Vehicle piston pusher

A vehicle piston pusher, pushing at least a piston back into a piston bore of a brake caliper, includes a base, a rotation member, a movable plate, and a direction switchable ratchet wrench. The rotation member is rotatably disposed on the base and includes an inner barrel and an outer barrel coupled together. The movable plate has an outer surface and an opposite inner surface. The outer surface contacts at least a piston. The inner surface has a thread rod which is screwedly combined with the inner barrel along an axial direction of the rotation member. The direction switchable ratchet wrench is connected with the rotation member for driving the rotation member, such that the movable plate moves toward or away from the movable plate. When the movable plate moves away from the base, the at least a piston is pushed back into the piston bore.

Hydraulic braking device

A hydraulic braking device includes an engaging base, a hydraulic brake, and a locking device. The hydraulic brake is provided on the engaging base. The locking device is adapted to fix the engaging base on a suspension fork of a bicycle, and includes a bolt and a handle, wherein the bolt passes through the engaging base to be screwed into a tapped hole of the suspension fork. The handle has a cam-shaped head pivotally connected to the bolt, and is pivotable between a first position and a second position. When the handle is located at the first position, the head presses against the engaging base to fix the engaging base on the suspension fork. When the handle is located at the second position, the engaging base is no longer being pressed against by the head, whereby the engaging base is movable relative to the suspension fork.
