BAR FOR A BRAKED AIRCRAFT WHEEL
The invention relates to a bar (10) for a braked aircraft wheel (103), the bar being for fitting to a rim (104) of the wheel in order to drive rotor brake disks (106b) in rotation. The bar comprises a substantially rectilinear body (11) having at least one segment (14) including two wings (15) connected together by a core (16) and intended to co-operate with the rotor disks. At least one brace element (17) connects a free edge of each of the wings to a central portion of the core.
WEAR RESISTANT BRAKING SYSTEMS
In some implementations of the current subject matter, a brake rotor can include a supporting layer applied to a friction surface of a brake rotor substrate, which can optionally include cast iron, and a coating applied over the supporting layer. The supporting layer can include a preparatory metal, and the coating can impart wear and corrosion resistant properties to the friction surface. Related systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and the like are disclosed.
Brake disk and method for producing a brake disk
A brake disk for a wheel brake of a land vehicle includes a main body formed from gray cast iron. The main body has at least one axial friction side, at least one anti-corrosion layer applied to the axial friction side, and at least one anti-abrasion layer applied to the anti-corrosion layer. The anti-corrosion layer is a duplex steel layer that provides a cost-effective coating for the brake disk and enables improved corrosion resistance. The anti-abrasion layer is wear resistant and is provided by a SiC material containing at least one oxidic or metallic binder, or by an iron-based alloy having a vanadium carbide reinforcement, a niobium carbide reinforcement, a boron carbide reinforcement, a chromium carbide reinforcement or combinations thereof.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
An automatic transmission includes a clutch device having a clutch hub, a clutch drum, a friction plate, a piston, and a hydraulic chamber. The clutch drum includes an outer-side cylindrical portion, a disc-shaped first radial portion extending radially inwardly, an axial portion extending axially from the first radial portion, and a disc-shaped second radial portion extending radially inwardly from the axial portion. The piston includes a pressing portion disposed between the first radial portion and the friction plate side, and a disc-shaped piston radial portion extending radially inwardly from the pressing portion. The hydraulic chamber is provided radially inwardly from the axial portion and on the non-friction-plate side of the piston radial portion. A comb-teeth portion is provided at a radially intermediate portion of the piston radial portion. The axial portion and the piston radial portion intersect with each other in a comb-teeth shape.
Brake disk and method for producing a brake disk
A method for producing a brake disk for a wheel brake of a land vehicle includes laser depositing a duplex steel anti-corrosion layer to an axial friction side of a main body produced from gray cast iron at a surface speed of more than 10 m/min and applying an anti-abrasion layer to the anti-corrosion layer.
Cooling ducts for disc brake caliper and method of manufacture thereof
The present invention relates to a disc brake caliper body comprising a mounting side bracket and a non-mounting side bracket extending along a circumferential direction of the body, each bracket being configured to hold at least one brake pad. In order to provide improved cooling efficiency while maintaining the required stability of the brake caliper, the caliper body further comprises at least one cooling duct formed by additive manufacturing, at least one cooling duct being an integral part of the caliper body.
Brake disc and brake disc manufacturing method
The brake disc includes two first members and at least one second member. Each of the first members has a sliding surface, and has almost a disc shape or an almost annular plate shape. The second member has a plurality of fins and a fin holding part. Each of the two first members and the at least one second member is manufactured by pressing. The brake disc is manufactured as the two first members and the at least one second member manufactured by pressing are joined to each other.
Coupling element having vibration damping
A coupling for connection of an encoder to an electrical machine includes an encoder shaft end piece for coupling to a shaft of the encoder, and a machine shaft end piece for coupling to a shaft of the electrical machine. At least one of the end pieces has a carrier which is formed with a cavity filled with granular material, preferably steel powder, to effect a dampening of vibrations and impacts.
TORSIONAL VIBRATION DAMPER
A torsional vibration damper, in particular for a drive train of a motor vehicle having a dual clutch transmission, includes an input part mounted rotatably about a rotation axis, and an output part rotatable in relation to the input part about the rotation axis to a limited extent against the action of a spring device and which has an output hub. A rolling bearing is provided between the input part and the output part, the output hub is divided into a ring part, which contains an output-side bearing seat, and a hub part, which contains internal teeth.
SLOTTED TORQUE PLATE BARREL
A torque barrel for use with a brake system may comprise a torque barrel having a cylindrical structure including an inner surface, an outer surface, a first opening at a first end, and a second opening at an opposing second end; and a longitudinal hole disposed through the outer surface of the barrel between a first spline of the plurality of splines and a second spline of the plurality of splines.
