ANCHOR CHAIN
The invention relates to the field of anchor chains, and more particularly an anchor chain (1) comprising a first plurality of links (3) and, at the end of the chain, a second plurality of links (4) comprising at least three successive links (4) in each of which at least one property selected from its bar diameter and the elastic limit of its material is substantially greater than in each of the links (3) of the first plurality, in order to improve the ability of the chain to withstand fatigue by bending of the links (4) in the second plurality.
Straightening Apparatus
The inventions relates to a straightening apparatus for straightening body panels of a vehicle, which straightening apparatus includes a support beam, a straightening fastener fastened to the support beam which fastener is fastenable to the body panels of the vehicle, a transfer device for moving the straightening fastener in relation to the vehicle to straighten body panels, and at least two support elements for supporting the support beam during straightening work. In the straightening apparatus according to the invention, the support beam includes a vertical beam and an extension beam movably fastened to it, and the first support element is movably fastened to the vertical beam and the second support element is fastened to the extension beam.
Release apparatus and method of manufacturing release apparatus
Some embodiments provide release apparatuses comprising: a body having first and second mating sections each connected to separate tethers; locking shoes each movable between a first position configured to lock the first and second mating sections together and a second position configured to allow the first and second mating sections to disconnect; an actuator configured to move the locking shoes between the first and second positions; wherein each of the locking shoes comprises a locking surface configured to contact an engagement surface of the second mating section and maintain a position of the first mating section with the second mating section; wherein portions of the locking surface comprise toric geometries that are not in contact with the engagement surface when the locking shoes are in the first position and do not come into contact with the engagement surface as the locking shoes transition to the second position.

Ligature attachment device
A ligature attachment device for use with a ligature is disclosed, the ligature attachment device comprising a proximal section comprising a loop retainer section, a distal section comprising a tool section, a central section comprising a central ligature spool section having a centrally located cinch aperture and the central ligature spool section is coupled to the loop retainer section and the tool section. The loop retainer section having a loop retainer profile configured to retain a loop of the ligature frictionally engaged with the central ligature spool section. The cinch aperture having an aperture shape configured to allow at least two sections of a ligature to be removably retained in the cinch aperture whereby the cinch aperture can removably retain the loop of the ligature. The tool section comprises a first tool for removably joining a second tool.

Drive attachment for a ratchet-type load binder to enable selective driving thereof with a handheld power tool
An attachment for a ratchet-type load binder includes a mounting frame arranged for mounting to the load binder at a location registered with a ratchet mechanism thereof, a slot defined by the mounting frame and arranged to extend angularly of the axis of the ratchet gear so as to be adapted to receive a handle of the ratchet mechanism in rotary movement relative to a body of the load binder, and a transmission member having a shaft extending along an axis of rotation of the transmission member and transmission elements carried on the shaft and projecting outwardly therefrom for meshing with the teeth of the ratchet gear. It is one aspect of the invention that the transmission member is movable from a drive position in which the transmission member meshes with the ratchet gear to an idle position in which the ratchet gear can rotate freely of the transmission member, so that conventional operation of the ratchet mechanism with the handle is still available without removing the attachment. It is another aspect of the invention that the mounting frame has a pair of separable portions so that the attachment can be mounted to an existing load binder by connection of the separable portions to one another when respectively located on the body of the load binder.
