DRIVE ATTACHMENT FOR A RATCHET-TYPE LOAD BINDER TO ENABLE SELECTIVE DRIVING THEREOF WITH A HANDHELD POWER TOOL
An attachment for a ratchet-type load binder comprises a mounting frame arranged for mounting to the load binder at a location registered with a ratchet mechanism thereof, a slot defined by the mounting frame and arranged to extend angularly of the axis of the ratchet gear so as to be adapted to receive a handle of the ratchet mechanism in rotary movement relative to a body of the load binder, and a transmission member having a shaft extending along an axis of rotation of the transmission member and transmission elements carried on the shaft and projecting outwardly therefrom for meshing with the teeth of the ratchet gear. It is one aspect of the invention that the transmission member is movable from a drive position in which the transmission member meshes with the ratchet gear to an idle position in which the ratchet gear can rotate freely of the transmission member, so that conventional operation of the ratchet mechanism with the handle is still available without removing the attachment. It is another aspect of the invention that the mounting frame has a pair of separable portions so that the attachment can be mounted to an existing load binder by connection of the separable portions to one another when respectively located on the body of the load binder.

Chain slider
A chain slider is designed as a cable management device, and includes an interchangeable insert system to adapt different size chain, cable wire rope, synthetic rope or line used in hoisting devices. The chain slider may be manufactured of plastic and injection molded to shape.
Shortening hook with coupling connection
A shortening hook with a coupling connection for shortening sling chains in hangers, having a hook body which comprises an eyelet at the top for coupling to a suspension ring and at the bottom a coupling connection with a coupling slot which is delimited by two parallel side wings and is downwardly open for the suspension of a chain and in its central region comprises a hooking-in region, which realizes an upwardly open, rectilinearly extending shortening slot and on which a chain, which is coupled to the coupling connection, is hookable by way of its free end region. In each case, only a coupling slot and a shortening slot are realized on the hook body and, when the shortening hook is seen in side view, are mounted offset laterally with respect to one another.

SHORTENING CLUTCH
A main body provided with a pocket for accommodating a first chain link of another chain, and a lock lever which is capable of switching between & locked state and an unlocked state by pivoting, and which restricts disengagement of the first chain link from the pocket in the locked state, and allows the first chain link to disengage from the pocket in the unlocked state, which is resisted by an urging force of an urging member, wherein the pocket side, and the locking piece projects toward a position in which movement of a second chain link in an escaping direction is restricted, a first operating piece extending to the side of the pivot point on which one chain is coupled, and a second operating piece extending to the opposite side.
RESTRAINT DEVICE FOR VEHICULAR FRAME STRAIGHTENING SYSTEMS
A restraint device for use with a vehicular straightening system includes an elongated tether that is connected to a restraining net along a first end, and an anchor connector along a second end. The anchor connector includes functionality for engaging the platform of the straightening system, and the restraining net includes a shape and size that is suitable for encompassing the fastening mechanism of the straightening system. A plurality of net connectors secure the restraining net about the fastening mechanism, and each of the tether, the restraining net and the connectors are constructed from materials having a high tensile strength for resisting a recoil force associated with a breakage of the fastening mechanism when a pulling force is applied thereon.
Mining pin retention system
Several embodiments of a drive pin retention system for mining chains comprise a drive pin, dowel pin, and retainer, wherein the dowel pin is fitted through the holes of a retainer aligned with the holes of the dowel pin and pressed with force so that the tolerance between the dowel pin and retainer is very close. In one embodiment, the retainer is tack welded and then the dowel pin is tack welded to further increase the tolerance and prevent loosening or movement of the retainer due to vibration.
