A fluid dispensing device and method for controlling the device are provided. The device includes a housing defining a fluid outlet. A valve controls the flow of fluid to the outlet. A sensor is configured to detect an object outside of and proximate to the housing. A solenoid is configured to move the valve between an open position and a closed position. A controller is configured to receive the output signal of the sensor, determine a characteristic of noise in the output signal such as a level of noise; adjust at least one of a sampling rate of the output signal and an amount of filtering of the output signal responsive to the characteristic of noise in the output signal, and transmit a control signal to the solenoid responsive to the output signal.

Methods and systems for the distribution, regulation and mixture of fluids, but particularly for the regulation of water flow through a tap, within a water distribution system, and for the regulation of the temperature of said flow from mixtures of smaller flows than the flow of the water distribution system, where at least one execution-by-the-user means is coupled, wherein the user has no contact with the mechanical parts of the system. Furthermore, systems for the reuse of water remaining in the pipelines, preventing waste and allowing remote activation, are revealed.

Motor bypass valve

A motor bypass valve diverts drilling fluid away from a downhole motor when the motor is off bit. Bypassing the downhole motor reduces the shock and vibration on the BHA caused by the downhole motor, thereby reducing the damage to the BHA. The motor bypass valve may divert fluid out of a housing or into a bore through the rotor of the downhole motor.

A bar valve includes an elongate housing having a first inlet located towards a first end of the housing, a second inlet located towards a second end of the housing, and an outlet located between the first inlet and the second inlet. A mixing chamber is located within the housing, the mixing chamber being configured to receive first and second input flows from the first inlet and second inlet, respectively. A flow controller is configured to receive a mixed flow from the mixing chamber and controllably output an outlet flow to the outlet. The mixing chamber and flow controller is disposed sequentially in a region of the housing between the first end and the outlet, thereby confining the mixed flow and the outlet flow to the region of the housing between the first end and the outlet.

A pair of levers are provided extending from a common junction to free tips which are spaced from each other. The junction is coupled to a valve of a faucet, with such a coupling either being direct or with intervening structures. The valve can be controlled by a user manual gripping and applying force to either the first lever or the second lever. The levers are sufficiently far apart that a user can control the valve while only touching one of the levers. The junction can be removably attachable to a control knob coupled to the valve or can be built into the faucet. The two levers are preferably elongate in form and preferably include indicia thereon indicating that one of the levers should be used first and the other of the levers should be used last. In one embodiment, the indicia include the wording “dirty” and “clean.”

A cartridge valve includes a housing, a stem adapter, and a stem assembly. The stem adapter includes a body defining a first hole, which extends in a longitudinal direction. The stem assembly includes a first stem component and a second stem component. The first stem component includes an arm and a spherical portion that is configured to be at least partially positioned within the first hole and defines an opening. The second stem component has a body that is configured to be at least partially received within the opening of the first stem component. The spherical portion is configured to expand in size in response to the first end inserting a portion of the body of the second stem component into the opening in the first stem component, which increases a frictional resistance induced by relative rotation between the stem assembly and the stem adapter.
