Flush System for a Toilet
A flush system includes a meter valve, a first pipe, a vacuum breaker, a second pipe, and a ball valve assembly. The meter valve defines a selectively openable outlet. The first pipe is in fluid communication with the meter valve and a water supply source. The vacuum breaker is disposed within the first pipe upstream of the meter valve and oriented to prevent backflow from the meter valve to the water supply source. The second pipe extends from a wall and is downstream from the supply source. The ball valve assembly is disposed between the first pipe and the second pipe upstream of the vacuum breaker to facilitate fluid communication between the first pipe and the second pipe and to selectively isolate the meter valve from the water supply source.
CURVILINEAR ELECTROMAGNETIC PUMP
A curvilinear electromagnetic pump is configured to follow a curve, such as by coupling multiple linear pump segments together that are offset by an angle with respect to each other. The curvilinear electromagnetic pump can curve within two dimensions, or within three dimensions. The curvilinear electromagnetic pump allows for more efficient arrangement of components and systems within a nuclear reactor vessel and allows a significantly reduced reactor vessel height as compared to a linear pump arranged vertically. The curvilinear electromagnetic pump may follow the curvature of the reactor vessel wall and may be entirely disposed near the bottom of the reactor vessel.
Fuel pressure regulator
A fuel pressure regulator includes a housing defining a fuel inlet and a fuel outlet; a valve seat located between the fuel inlet and the fuel outlet, the valve seat being centered about a valve seat axis; a valve member centered about a valve member axis, the valve member being moveable between 1) a closed position where the valve member engages the valve seat to prevent fuel flow from the fuel inlet to the fuel outlet and 2) an open position where the valve member is disengaged from the valve seat to permit fuel flow from the fuel inlet to the fuel outlet; and a grounding member grounded to the housing which engages the valve member to cause the valve member axis to tip relative to the valve seat axis when the valve member moves from the closed position to the open position.
Self-cleaning disc valve for piston pump
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally provide a disc-valve design with a self-cleaning feature. The self-cleaning feature may be integrated into the valve, for example, by removing a “cut-out” portion between sealing surfaces of ports. These cut-out portions may create vortices that might clean debris from the sealing surfaces. The cut-outs may also provide a place for debris to collect-keeping it away from the sealing surfaces. In addition, or as an alternative to cut-outs, some other type of mechanism, such as sealing members designed to disturb flow to sweep away debris near a sealing surface or helical grooves (rifling) formed in the ports, may also be used to promote self-cleaning.

Compressor system with pressure pulsation dampener and check valve
A system is disclosed wherein a pressure pulse dampener is in fluid communication with a compressed fluid. The pulse dampener being operable for reducing pressure pulsations within the fluid. In some embodiments a check valve can be in fluid communication with the pulse dampener to prevent reverse flow of the compressed fluid.
Adjustable stop for check valve
A check valve comprises a housing, a fluid passage, a seat, a valve member and a stop. The fluid passage extends through the housing. The seat is disposed in the fluid passage. The valve member is positioned in the passage to engage the seat. The stop extends through the housing to engage the valve member. The stop is accessible from outside the housing to adjust a distance the valve member can travel from the seat. In one embodiment, the stop includes a variable stop feature, such as an offset pin or a cam. In another embodiment, the stop includes a pump control valve. In yet another embodiment, the housing includes markings to indicate a position of the stop. The valve member comprises a ball or a poppet in different embodiments.
Check valve assembly
A non-return valve assembly for a high-pressure fuel injection system is disclosed. The valve comprises a valve chamber defined in part by a first body and in part by a second body and defining a valve chamber wall, an inlet passage formed in the first body and opening into the valve chamber at a valve seat defined by the first body, an outlet passage, and a valve ball received within the valve chamber and engageable with the valve seat so as to interrupt fluid flow from the outlet passage to the inlet passage through the valve chamber. The valve chamber wall comprises a plurality of guide portions to guide the valve ball in substantially linear movement within the valve chamber.
Cryogenic refrigerator with scotch yoke driving unit
A cryogenic refrigerator includes a displacer that is reciprocably mounted within a cylinder; a spool valve that is connected to the compressor and performs switching between an intake mode where a high-pressure refrigerant gas is supplied from the compressor to the cylinder and an exhaust mode where a low-pressure refrigerant gas within the cylinder is made to flow back to the compressor; and a drive unit that drives the spool valve. The spool valve has a valve body, and a drive rod that moves relative to the valve body and is integrated with the spool. The drive unit performs driving so that the magnitude of a speed when the drive rod moves from a top dead center to a bottom dead center is different from the magnitude of a speed when the drive rod moves from the bottom dead center to the top dead center, at the same displacement position.
One-Way Valve Cap
Improvements in a one-way valve cap to allow a homeowner to install the cap without requiring tools. This allows a homeowner to simply remove the existing cap and install the new cap to prevent removal from an unauthorized person. The one-way locking mechanism includes a ramp that prevents a person from unscrewing to cap without a tool. The opening allows a person to insert the tool through the outer housing and into the inner housing to unscrew the inner housing from the valve. A hex key or a custom key design can be used for removing the cap. A seal is inserted in the inner housing and seals the inner housing with the valve. The elastomeric seal prevents intrusion of contamination inside of the valve and also provides an additional seal to the valve to reduce a potential leak of gas from the line.
