Slide through fitting
A fitting assembly includes a fitting and a tube. The fitting has a fitting body having a straight through hole and an attachment or base port, connected to the through hole by a first passageway generally perpendicular to the through hole. The tube has an outer diameter smaller than the through hole allowing a first end of the tube to pass through the through hole. A seal is positioned in one of a circumferential slot in the tube and a circumferential slot in the through hole of the fitting body, the seal sealing a second end of the tube to the fitting body. A cover is sealingly attached to the first end of the through hole. One of the cover and the tube has a portion that extends into an intersection of the through hole and the first passageway, the portion having an aperture that prevents blockage between the attachment or base port and the second end of the through hole.

Insulating Inserts for Field Joints of Coated Rigid Pipelines
An insulating insert is positioned around a field joint of a pipeline to insulate the field joint. The insert comprises a longitudinal series of annular or part-annular filler segments of insulating material, curved about a longitudinal axis, that are each joined to one or more adjacent segments of the series by at least one link. The links may be webs, rods or articulated links. The links are flexible relative to the segments to facilitate bending of the insert along its length by enabling relative angular displacement between adjacent segments of the series.
Pipelaying guidance
A device for providing pipelaying guidance is disclosed. The device may determine an original shape of a pipeline that comprises a plurality of pipeline segments. The device may obtain current location data concerning a respective position of each pipeline segment of the plurality of pipeline segments, and may determine a current shape of the pipeline based on the current location data. The device may calculate, based on the original shape of the pipeline and the current shape of the pipeline, stress information concerning the pipeline, and may perform one or more actions based on the stress information.
Layer repair
A method and apparatus are disclosed for at least partially repairing a defect in a tubular composite layer. The apparatus comprises a plurality of independently movable abutment elements (3820) each supported in a spaced apart relationship via a respective one of at least one support member (3810). Each abutment element is associated with a respective drive axis along which the abutment elements are movable and the drive axes of all abutment elements extend outwardly from a common centre point.
Apparatus for forming curls
A curl-forming apparatus (1) includes: a main body (20) configured to deform a profile strip (100); and a support body (3) configured to support the main body (20) in a holding unit (4) for the profile strip (100). The profile strip (100) is helically wound on an inside of the holding unit (4). The main body (20) is disposed in a hollow part of the holding unit (4) and is configured to draw and deform the profile strip (100) inside the holding unit (4). The support body (3) is rotatable relative to the holding unit (4), and is configured to rotate about an axis of the holding unit (4) in synchronization with the main body (20) that draws the profile strip (100).

Cooperative service valve for satellite media transfer
A Cooperative Service Valve includes a fitting connected to a valve body via a tube, a stem configured to fit within the valve body. The stem includes a stem first end having a first seal and configured to movably fit within a tube first end, a sealing portion connected to the stem first end and configured, in a first position, to provide a second seal between the sealing portion and an inner surface of the stem body, a fluid flow portion comprising openings for allowing liquid or gaseous media to pass through the Cooperative Service Valve when the stem is in a second position and a stem second end configured to secure a poppet guide, a poppet and a spring associated with the poppet that biases the poppet against a seal to yield a third seal. The first, second and third seals open and close in a particular order to allow or prevent fluid from flowing through the stem.
