Elastic seal element for a fluid passage

An elastic seal element seals a fluid passage between a first component and a second component from the surroundings, the fluid passage passing through the seal element. The seal element has a first bead, which provides a sealing line to sealingly contact the first component around the fluid passage. The seal element further has a second bead, which provides a second sealing line to sealingly contact the second component around the fluid passage. The seal element has a tubular shape, a tubular casing extending between the first bead at the first end of the seal element and the second bead at the second end of the seal element, wherein the tubular casing allows a transversal offset of the second bead relative to the first bead to seal the fluid passage by the seal element even when the second component is offset transversely relative to the first component.

Funnel-pipe arrangement

An arrangement (6) of a pipe (5) on a funnel (4) has a pipe interior space (8) fluidically connected with a funnel interior space (9). The funnel has an integral connection piece (10) with two axial openings (12) in the circumferential direction (11). A connecting sleeve (14), which has a clamping collar (15), which tapers towards the funnel and is formed integrally in one piece with the connecting sleeve (14), is attached to the connection piece on the outside thereof. The pipe is attached to the connection piece with an end section (16) facing the funnel. The end section has a counterclamping collar (17), which is formed integrally in one piece therewith and tapers away from the funnel. A clamp connection (7) has a clamp (18) with a ring-shaped connecting body (19) extending over the clamping collar (15) and the counterclamping collar (17) and prestresses these axially towards one another.

A quick connector includes a socket including a threaded portion detachably fastenable to a water tap, an opposing free end portion and three inside flanges equiangularly spaced between the threaded portion and the free end portion, and a connection member including a connector body defining an axial through hole in communication with the socket and a fitting defining three insertion grooves for the insertion of the respective inside flanges and three sliding grooves respectively connected to the insertion grooves corresponding to the three inside flanges and disposed adjacent to the position-limit surface for allowing sliding therein of the respective inside flanges. Thus, the user can use to the quick connector to rapidly and detachably connect an oral irrigator to a water tap in a convenient and hygienic manner, avoiding the problem that oral irrigator cannot effectively clean tartar due to insufficient water pressure caused by a leakage of water.

Pipe coupling with dynamic axial restraint system

A pipe coupling for connecting together the ends of two pipes including a tubular casing for fitting around a pipe; tensioning means for tightening the casing around the outer surface of the pipe; and a dynamic axial restraint system comprising at least one resilient gripping ring mounted within the casing for gripping the outer surface of the pipe. The gripping ring includes an outer surface engaging with an inner surface of the casing and adapted to roll against the inner surface of the casing upon axial loading of the pipe; and an inner gripping surface for engaging the outer surface of the pipe. The gripping surface of the resilient gripping ring is adapted such that upon rolling of the outer surface against the inner surface of the tubular casing, the area of the gripping surface in contact with the pipe increases.

Portable Verification System And Method For Use In Verifying A Gas Pipeline Ultrasonic Meter
20180045553 · 2018-02-15 ·

Embodiments of a portable verification system can move from one in-field gas flow meter location to another and temporarily connect downstream of a main pipeline's meter run or station. A control valve of the portable verification system allows volume measurement at different flow velocities to be verified. In some embodiments, the portable verification system is connected to the meter run and the main pipeline by a corresponding slip or linearly adjustable pipeline section. This section can extend horizontally and vertically, as well as swivel to provide versatility when connecting in the field. Adaptor fittings having one flange sized for and fitted to the inlet and outlet ends of the portable verification system and another flange sized for the meter run or main pipeline connection provide additional versatility. Downtime is limited to the time required to complete a circuit between the meter run, portable verification system, and main pipeline.

Apparatus for improving air quality in a building

A diffuser to distribute vapors throughout a building using an HVAC system. The diffuser has an inner tube with vents and a rotatable outer tube with vents, being rotatable by a rotation mechanism. The vents on both tubes can be misaligned, or fully or partially aligned by rotation of outer tube. The inner tube has a connector at one end to removably connect to a liquid container, and an annular flange. An elbow is located between the connector and the flange such that the container may be oriented vertically when the tubes are horizontal. A cavity in the inner tube is open to the container, and a wick in the cavity transmits liquid from the container to the cavity. Vapor diffuses out of the cavity through the vents when they are at least partially aligned. The diffuser may be installed into an HVAC duct.

CONDUIT COUPLING APPARATUS AND METHOD

A coupling may be configured to receive and secure an insertion end of a conduit. An outer surface of the insertion end of the conduit may be smooth and free of grooves, flanges and beads. A first member of the coupling may define a first passageway. A second member of the coupling may define a second passageway. The first member may be in spin weld engagement with the second member. A gripping ring having an inner edge defining a series of teeth may be disposed within the second member. A support ring and O-ring may also be disposed within the second member.

A connecting device is provided between a turbine housing of an exhaust turbocharger and an exhaust manifold housing of an internal combustion engine. The turbine housing and the exhaust manifold housing are kept in position via a band clamp which acts with first and second limbs, which are oriented in a V shaped manner in cross section and are connected via a web, on supporting devices, which are attached to outer circumferences of the turbine housing and of the exhaust manifold housing, and are configured in the manner of first and second ring flanges placed on each other, such that, firstly, first and second clamping surfaces of the limbs are operatively connected to third and fourth clamping surfaces of the supporting devices on first and second connecting planes, and, secondly, first and second radial supporting surfaces are operatively connected to each other on a supporting plane of the supporting devices. An intermediate ring is effective between the second clamping surface of the second limb and an inner supporting surface of the second edge flange. The intermediate ring is clamped against the inner supporting surface of the second ring flange via the second and fourth clamping surfaces and a clamping surface portion of the intermediate ring.
