REFRIGERANT PIPE AND HEAT PUMP APPARATUS

An object of the present invention is to allow uniform distribution of a refrigerant by a distributor. A refrigerant pipe includes a bent pipe formed in the shape of a curve and a downstream pipe connected to the downstream side of the bent pipe and formed to be linear. A distributor to distribute the refrigerant into a plurality of flow paths is connected to the downstream pipe on the downstream side. An inner wall on the inner peripheral side of the bent pipe being on the side of the curvature center of the curve is a grooved surface with a groove formed therein, and an inner wall on the outer peripheral side of the bent pipe being on the side opposite to the curvature center of the curve is a smooth surface.

Fitting for joining pipe elements

A fitting for joining pipe elements together includes housing portions held preassembled in spaced apart relation to permit pipe elements to be inserted without disassembly of the fitting. Elbow and tee fittings include sealing elements which support the housing portions in spaced relation. Angled surfaces on each housing portion interact with one another to rotate the housing portions in opposite directions to form a rigid joint between the fitting and the pipe elements.

Provided is a connection mechanism for connecting a tube through a joint to a housing of a valve. At least one of the housing of the valve and the joint is made of a resin. The housing of the valve includes a connection hole for inserting and connecting the joint, and pin insertion holes which is drilled from an external surface of the housing in a direction orthogonal to an axial direction of the connection hole, and penetrates through the connection hole. An annular groove is formed along a circumferential direction of an outer peripheral surface of the joint. In an insertion state of the joint into the housing, the pin is inserted from the pin insertion holes on the external surface of the housing. The pin passes through the annular groove disposed on the joint and comes into engagement with the joint.

Grooved forged carbon steel fitting apparatus and methods of manufacturing the same

Roll grooved pipe fittings useful in the assembly of a variety of mechanically joined piping systems. These pipe fittings are roll grooved so that they can be mechanically joined directly with other like pipe fittings and/or with roll grooved straight pipe thereby substantially simplifying assembly. In addition, hybrid pipe fittings and systems are also disclosed. Methods and apparatus for manufacturing these aforementioned roll grooved pipe fittings are also disclosed and address both the roll grooving process itself, as well as various methodology and apparatus for correcting deformations that can occur as a result of the roll grooving process. Methods for using the aforementioned apparatus are also disclosed.
