PROTECTOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PROTECTOR

A protector protects a high-pressure fuel pump for an internal combustion engine. A metal collar is insert-molded into a plate-shaped fiber reinforced plastic portion made of a fiber reinforced plastic of the protector. An outer circumferential surface of the collar includes an uneven portion and a smooth surface. The uneven portion includes recesses and projections arranged alternately in a thickness direction of the fiber reinforced plastic portion. The smooth portion includes a smooth surface parallel to the thickness direction of the fiber reinforced plastic portion. The uneven portion and the smooth portion are arranged in the thickness direction on the outer circumferential surface of the collar.

Method and container for verfying whether all fragments of a broken needle are present

Quality assurance in sewing a textile sewn sequentially in a plurality of workstations (11) can be provided using a carriage 14 that can be moved between the workstations (11). Should a needle (12) break off in a workstation (11), the carriage (14) is moved to this workstation (11). The fragments (13) of the needle (12) are arranged in the container (20) and once it has been established that all the fragments (13) have been removed from the workstation (11) a replacement needle is provided for this workstation. The container (20) has an accommodation space (21) delimited by a main body (22) and a lid (23). A retaining magnet (34) is arranged in the region of a base (32) of the main body (22) extending along one axis (A) to retain magnetizable fragments (13) of a needle (12).

A safety item, which may be a safety glove, contains a wireless device for communicating with a wireless receiver in a tool. When the safety item is too far away from the tool, then the tool will not activate and therefore children and others who may be present around the tool are less likely to inadvertently injure themselves. Such a system improves tool safety for the user and those around them.

PROTECTIVE SLIDE FOR A WORK MACHINE

A protective slide assembly for a work machine for processing packaging material includes an assembly element for connecting the protective slide assembly to the work machine , a protective element arranged to be movable relative to the assembly element, a first sensor element , and a second sensor element fixedly arranged at the assembly element . The protective element can be moved relative to the assembly element between a release position and a protection position, and the first sensor element and the second sensor element are configured to come into contact in the protection position of the protective element and to output a signal that is indicative of the contact. The first sensor element is arranged such that it can be moved along with the protective element and an amplitude of motion of the first sensor element is greater than an amplitude of motion of the protective element.

Storage system and method for carrying out maintenance in such a storage system

A storage system having at least two parallel racks and an aisle extending between respective sets of adjacent racks, through which shuttles can move forward and backward over respective guides parallel to the racks on a multitude of superposed levels for placing products in storage positions and/or removing products from storage positions. The storage system further includes a maintenance cart which can be moved through an aisle and which defines a working space for an individual, bounded at least partially by a frame of the maintenance cart, for carrying out maintenance from the working space on a shuttle, wherein the frame extends over at least two levels of the multitude of levels and forms a screen for the working space against shuttles in the aisle in question. The maintenance cart can be moved over a guide for the shuttles through an aisle.
