Light fixtures and methods

A light fixture, e.g., as an artificial skylight, in which light within a region defined by x, y color coordinates (0.37, 0.34), (0.35, 0.38), (0.15, 0.20), and (0.20, 0.14) exits a first light engine, and light within a region defined by coordinates (0.29, 0.32), (0.32, 0.29), (0.41, 0.36), (0.48, 0.39), (0.48, 0.43), (0.40, 0.41), and (0.35, 0.38) exits a second light engine. Also, light fixtures in which a second light engine comprises a sidewall, and light exiting a first light engine passes through space defined by the sidewall; light fixtures in which first and second light engines are able to output light providing different CS values at a luminance; light fixtures wherein light incident on a surface of the fixture and cumulative light exiting the fixture have different color points; light fixtures wherein light distribution characteristics of light engines differ; and/or other features. The invention also relates to corresponding methods.

Flameless Candle

Skylight fixture

A lighting fixture appears as a skylight and is referred to as a skylight fixture. The skylight fixture has a sky-resembling assembly and a plurality of sun-resembling assemblies. The sky-resembling assembly has a sky-resembling optical assembly and a sky-specific light source, wherein light from the sky-specific light source exits a planar interior surface of the sky-resembling light optical assembly as skylight light. The plurality of sun-resembling assemblies are arranged adjacent one another and extend downward from a periphery of the sky-resembling assembly. Each of the plurality of sun-resembling assemblies has a sun-resembling optical assembly and a sun-specific light source, wherein light from the sun-specific light source exits a planar interior surface of the sun-resembling optical assembly as sunlight light.

Transom light arrangement and method for producing a transom light arrangement

In various embodiments, a transom light arrangement may include a transom, which is arranged between a construction element and a transom light, a light source arrangement, which is mounted at least one of on or in the transom, with the light source arrangement or the transom defining a horizontal plane, and a screen structure. The light source arrangement and the screen structure are arranged relative to one another and are configured such that a spatial region above the horizontal plane is illuminated using the light source arrangement.

Lighting device and lighting method for at least one plant

The invention relates to a lighting device for at least one plant, comprising an artificial lighting unit for providing artificial light for lighting the plant; a sunlight unit for providing sunlight for lighting the plant; a mixing unit for generating a mixed light consisting of the artificial light and the sunlight; a distributing unit for distributing the mixed light and lighting the plant with the distributed mixed light; and an adjustment unit for adjusting a property of the mixed light. The invention provides a lighting device for at least one plant, i.e., one or more plants, wherein the device can be used in an energy-saving manner for indoor farming.

Method and system for collecting and distributing radiation

A method and system for collecting and distributing generated and/or solar radiation. The distribution is a pulsed distribution. A pulsed distribution subsystem combining a generated radiation source with a solar radiation collector is provided. Radiation from the pulsed distribution subsystem is provided to one or more discrete distribution systems; the discrete distributions systems transmit and distribute radiation, such as visible light, to one or more end use points in a facility.

Luminaires with transition zones for glare control

A luminaire includes a housing, a luminous zone coupled with the housing, and one or more transition zones coupled with the housing and disposed adjacent to the luminous zone. The luminous zone provides a first light to an illuminated area, and the one or more transition zones provide a second light to the illuminated area. The first light is harsher than the second light. A method of illuminating an area includes providing a first light to the area from a luminous zone of a luminaire and providing a second light to the area from one or more transition zones disposed adjacent to the luminous zone within the luminaire. The first light is a harsher light than the second light.

Solar Tube
