Air flow distribution system for data center server racks

An air flow distribution system for cooling server racks includes at least one server rack partially defining a hot aisle and a cold aisle, a first air foil disposed above the server rack, and a second air foil disposed above the first air foil. The first air foil and the second air foil are configured to receive air from the hot aisle, and to form turbulent wake patterns in the cold aisle partially defined by the server rack. The air flow distribution system may include a convex ceiling member above the second air foil. A corresponding method includes causing air to be directed between a first air foil disposed above a server rack and a second air foil disposed above the first air foil to form turbulent wake patterns in the cold aisle. An electrical enclosure assembly includes a receptacle and a cover member configured as an air foil.

Deterrent-device accessory electromagnetic-radiation-based activation

A kit includes a deterrent device, a grip activation system, and a housing supporting the grip activation system. The housing positions the grip activation system so that a sensing space of the grip activation system extends at least partly adjacent to a trigger guard of the deterrent device. The grip activation system includes an emitter configured to emit first electromagnetic radiation having a first wavelength; a detector configured to detect second electromagnetic radiation having the first wavelength; and a controller. The controller determines, based at least in part on the second electromagnetic radiation, that an object is present in the sensing space; and provides an activation signal to an activatable system in response to determining that the object is present in the sensing space. The activatable system can include a light source. Some examples include a housing, a grip activation system, and an activatable system.

Ceiling fan having an electric lamp which has continuous color temperature control. A ceiling fan includes an electric motor which rotates blades; and an electric lamp, which is an integrated component of the ceiling fan and is co-located beneath the blades. The motor and the lamp receive electric power from a mains electric socket via a single electric power cord that provides Alternating Current. The lamp is configured to emit visible light having light warmth at a user-configurable level along a continuous spectrum of light warmth, between a lower-bound value and an upper-bound value. The electric lamp includes a first set of LEDs and a second set of LEDs. The first set of LEDs is capable of emitting visible light at a first, fixed, light warmth value, which is the lower-bound value of that continuous spectrum of light warmth levels. The second set of LEDs is capable of emitting visible light at a second, fixed, light warmth value, which is the upper-bound value of that continuous spectrum of light warmth levels.

Shower device
