A light module, notably of a vehicle, including a semiconductor light source including a plurality of light-emitting units of submillimetric dimensions distributed in different selectively activatable light zones, at least one optic, capable of receiving the light rays emitted by the selectively activatable light zones and of deflecting them out of the light module, the shaping optic being arranged in such a way as to form an image of the light source including a plurality of pixels, the light source and the optic being arranged in such a way that these pixels exhibit an angular aperture of at most 0.4° in at least one given direction.

Method of coupling automotive exterior light bars

First adapter (10) and second adapter (40) are each separately securable to a respective automotive light bar (200, 201) at mutually facing lateral light bar end caps (206). The adapters (10, 40) interfit, such as first adapter (10) having one or more tenons (14; 18) received in shape-conforming recess or mortise (44) of second adapter (40). The coupling assembly formed from interfit first and second adapters (10, 40) sufficiently supports a midspan region of conjoined light bars (200, 201) to permit omission of mounting L-brackets (208) conventionally required at the mutually facing light bar ends (206), thus allowing fewer holes to be drilled in vehicle roof or bumper (212) and resulting in an aesthetically cleaner presentation of the overall lengthened light bar assembly.

CIRCADIAN-FRIENDLY LED LIGHT SOURCES

Methods and apparatus for providing circadian-friendly LED light sources are disclosed. A light source is formed to include a first LED emission (e.g., one or more LEDs emitting a first spectrum) and a second LED emission (e.g., one or more LEDs emitting a second spectrum) wherein the first and second LED emissions are combined in a first ratio and in a second ratio such that while changing from the first ratio to the second ratio the relative circadian stimulation is varied while maintaining a color rendering index above 80.

Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of cast vinyl film and, more particularly, to a method and system to provide a repositionable translucent cast vinyl film with an air-egress adhesive layer. In one aspect, a method includes mixing a solvent based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol with a stabilizer and an additive to get a desired shade of pellucid tint of a translucent thermoplastic stretch wrap film. Further, the method includes casting the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol onto a film carrier and moving the film carrier through a plurality of ovens at varying temperatures to cure into a solid film. The cured solid film is laminated to an air-egress liner casted with a solvent-borne acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide ease of installation. The adhesive includes an air release patterning to allow escape of air from back of the film while repositioning the film around a complex shaped surface.
