The light further includes a heat sink extending upward from the lower portion of the housing and including a body defining a central aperture. A plurality of light support surfaces are arranged around a perimeter of the body and a top support member is coupled to and oriented perpendicularly relative to the plurality of light support surfaces. The light further includes a first plurality of LEDs coupled to the plurality of light support surfaces and a second plurality of LEDs supported on the top support member. The light further includes a first battery pack and a second battery pack, both of which are electrically connected to the first and second pluralities of LEDs when received in the battery port.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING COLOR LIGHT SOURCES IN PROXIMITY TO PREDETERMINED WAVELENGTH CONVERSION STRUCTURES
An optical device includes a light source with at least two radiation sources, and at least two layers of wavelength-modifying materials excited by the radiation sources that emit radiation in at least two predetermined wavelengths. Embodiments include a first plurality of n radiation sources configured to emit radiation at a first wavelength. The first plurality of radiation sources are in proximity to a second plurality of m of radiation sources configured to emit radiation at a second wavelength, the second wavelength being shorter than the first wavelength. The ratio between m and n is predetermined. The disclosed optical device also comprises at least two wavelength converting layers such that a first wavelength converting layer is configured to absorb a portion of radiation emitted by the second radiation sources, and a second wavelength converting layer configured to absorb a portion of radiation emitted by the second radiation sources.
LIGHTED CUP HOLDER FOR SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.
LED LIGHTING METHODS AND APPARATUS
LED related lighting methods and apparatus are described. Various features relate to water tight light fixtures. Some of the fixtures are spotlights while other fixture are intended for in ground use. The light fixtures in at least some embodiments include power control features. In spotlight embodiments beam angle and power or light output can be controlled without opening the light assembly or compromising the water tight seals which also protect against dirt. In ground embodiments support tilt angle setting which allow a user to set the light fixture to one or more tilt angles. Beam angle can also be changed in some embodiments as well as power control. Beam angle, power control and tilt angle adjustments are supported in some embodiments but need not be supported in all embodiments with some embodiments using one or more of the described features but not all features.
AREA LIGHT
An area light is provided including a housing defining a central axis having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a side portion; a cover mounted on the first end of the housing; a light module disposed on the first end of the housing, the light module comprising a heat sink and at least one light-emitting diode (LED) to emit light through the cover and in a direction that extends 360 degrees around the center axis; and a battery receptacle disposed on the side portion of the housing to receive a removable battery pack and supply electric power form the removable battery pack to the at least one LED. At least one hook is provided on or adjacent the first end of the housing.
Lighting fixture with 2D array of closely-packed LED components
An LED lighting fixture includes a housing, a substrate located within the housing, a plurality of LED groups of various colors mounted on the substrate, each LED color group including multiple LED components, at least one circuit communicating with a power supply and adapted for powering the LED components, and an optical component located at an output end of the housing. The LED components are arranged along first and second directions orthogonal to one another, such that no two LED of the same color reside adjacent one another along both of the first and second directions, and each LED component is spaced-apart from an adjacent LED component a distance no greater than 1.0 mm.
Formable transparent conductive films with metal nanowires
A formable transparent conductive film are described that comprise a sparse metal conductive layer, a thermoplastic polymer substrate supporting the sparse metal conductive layer, a viscoelastic polymer with a thickness from about 15 microns to about 150 microns over the sparse metal conductive layer. A layered film structure can be formed that is suitable for contouring on the surface of a three dimensional object without unacceptable increases in sheet resistance and with good optical transparency and low haze. The formable films can be placed into a frozen configuration bent 90 degrees with a radius of curvature of no more than about 5 centimeters while exhibiting a surface resistance of no more than about 500 ohms/sq. with a total transmittance with respect to visible light of at least about 80%.
Solid state lamp using light emitting strips
A solid state lamp includes a connector and a bulb portion with multiple strips.
LED LAMP
An LED lamp that can take the place of incandescent lamps. An elevated light source is positioned above a screw-type base. A first plurality of LEDs is connected in a series on one side of a flat substrate and a second plurality of LEDs, equal in number to the first, is connected in series on an opposite side of the substrate. Each LED of the first and second plurality of LEDs is mounted proximate a heat sink and a drive circuit is provided for the LEDs, with the drive circuit being located proximate and electrically connected to the screw base.
