THIN FLAT PANEL LED LUMINAIRE
20170307801 · 2017-10-26 · ·

The invention described herein is a very thin flat panel LED luminaire, including a flat baseboard, a flat reflection panel, a flat acrylic panel, a flat diffusion panel, LED bar, and aluminum encasement frame which combines with the baseboard to form the chassis for the luminaire. The LED bar is placed along either or both sides of the stack. The acrylic panel is printed with a mesh-like mask pattern of dots in a pattern in which the density of the pattern is decreases the farther away from the LED bar the pattern is, differentially coupling the light from the point source LED bar from the reflection panel into the flat acrylic panel so that illumination across the luminaire is substantially uniform.

Lighting unit, especially for road illumination

A lighting unit comprising a tapering cavity surrounded by a circumferential reflective wall and extending between a light emission window and a light entrance surface where a light source is (to be) mounted. An optical plate having a light outcoupling structure is provided at the light emission window for redirecting and issuing light as a uniform lighting unit light beam. Said uniform lighting unit light beam has a first beam emission angle β in a first direction and optionally, for example for a rectangular shaped light emission window, a second beam emission angle γ in a second direction transverse to the first direction. The tapering cavity having a first cut-off angle α in said first direction, wherein β=α+2*δ with 0°<δ<=10°, and optionally a second cut-off angles ε in the second direction transverse to the first direction wherein γ=ε+Θ with 0°<=Θ<=10°.

ILLUMINATED AUTOMOTIVE GLAZINGS

A vehicle is provided that includes a glazing that has a first glass substrate and a second glass substrate. A polymeric interlayer is positioned between the first and second glass substrates and a phosphorescent layer is positioned on the polymeric interlayer. A light source is optically coupled with polymeric interlayer.

VEHICLE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY

A lighting assembly for a vehicle is provided herein. The lighting assembly includes first and second sets of light sources disposed on a bumper of the vehicle. A photoluminescent structure is disposed on the lighting assembly and configured to luminesce in response to excitation by the first or second sets of light sources. A detection system is configured to detect an object disposed proximately to the vehicle. The first or second set of light sources illuminate upon the detection of the object.

LIGHTING DEVICE

The invention relates to a lighting device kit of parts comprising a lamp (3) and a lamp shade (5). The lamp (3) of the lighting device comprises a light source (11) and a heat sink area (13) comprising a main heat dissipating surface (15). The lamp shade (5) of the lighting device comprises a shade structure (17) conjoined via a thermal path part with a cooling structure (21) comprising a main surface (24). In a mounted position of the lamp shade (5) and the lamp (3), the main surface (24) of the cooling structure (21) adjoins the main heat dissipating surface (15) of the heat sink area (13). The invention further relates to a lamp and a lamp shade of said lighting device kit of parts.

Insect capture is improved by providing a glue board having an adhesive coating on its front surface and forming a pattern of insect attractant. UV light on that front surface. That pattern includes areas of bright UV light generated by light-emitting diodes behind and visible through the glue board by flying insect, dimmer areas of UV light that bounces off other portions of the device onto the glue board, and areas of shadow on the glue board where no or little UV light is present.

Illumination system with side-emitting illumination, targeting, and confirmation

Embodiments are disclosed of a lighting apparatus including a fixture adapted to accommodate a camera having imaging optics that define an optical axis, wherein the fixture includes an open end through which the imaging optics can capture an image. One or more side-emitting illumination light sources are positioned adjacent to the open end, the plurality of side-emitting light sources positioned to direct light toward a plane intersected by the optical axis. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.

SLOTTED BATTERY CAVITY FOR MULTIPLE CELL SIZES
20170294631 · 2017-10-12 ·

A battery compartment for a device has a single cavity that is segmented into discrete slots, each slot associated with projections that secure and immobilize any batteries inserted into the compartment. Each slot is sized to receive a different size of battery, and the slots are positioned relative to one another to prevent batteries of different sizes from being inserted into the compartment. A shelf may be integrated within the slot(s), and the shelf may include a channel or a multi-planar yet unitary contact member to establish a single point of electrical connection between the battery compartment and the device.
