Adjustable size LED fixture
An adjustable LED lighting fixture which accommodates LED lights of varying lengths. The LED fixture has a central body element, and two movable end elements movably attached to two opposing sides of the central body element and extend in a direction normal to a length of the fixture. The two end elements face each other with LED pin sockets facing each other whereby an LED tube light is able to be operationally inserted into the LED pin sockets. Two slidable elements are attached to the end elements and extending in a direction in a direction along the length of the fixture and toward the other of the end elements and through a retention element. The slidable elements permit the expansion and contraction of the length of the LED fixture, by sliding relative movement toward and away from the other of the end elements, to hold LED light tubes of varying lengths.
HEADLAMP FOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS
A headlight (1) for a healthcare worker includes: a base part (10), which has a U-shape, is configured to come into abutment, at a center part of the base part (10), with a back side of a head and neck part of a wearer, and includes a right end part (11) and a left end part (11), each of which is configured to be hung on an upper part of an ear so that the base part (10) is retained on a head; a light source device (20), which extends from both or any one of a vicinity of the end parts (11), includes LEDs as light sources, and is configured to illuminate a region in front of the head; and a controller (30) configured to control an illumination state of the light source device (20). The controller (30) is configured to light the light source device (20) when the base part (10) reaches a predetermined depression angle with a standing state of the wearer serving as a reference.
Lighting arrangement
A lighting arrangement can include a luminaire and a first plurality of spring arms. The luminaire can include a housing assembly and a light emitter portion at least partially enclosing the light emitter portion. The first plurality of spring arms can each be engageable with the luminaire and extend from a respective base end to a respective distal end. The base ends can be positioned closer to the housing assembly than the distal ends. Each of the first plurality of spring arms can extend vertically upward and away from the housing assembly along the axis such that the base ends are vertically lower than the distal ends. Each of the first plurality of spring arms can extend along a torturous path and be cantilevered off of the housing assembly.
Troffer light fixture retrofit systems and methods
A retrofitting kit for retrofitting an existing troffer light fixture having a troffer housing includes a door assembly and a retainer including a flange. The flange is deformable between a first position and a second position. The light source is within the housing. The retainer includes the flange coupled to the housing of the door assembly. The retainer is configured to engage at least one of the troffer housing and a T-bar of a ceiling system to thereby selectively secure the door assembly within the ceiling system when the flange is in the first position. The retainer is further configured to facilitate at least one of installation and removal of the door assembly when the flange is in the second position.
Vehicle lamp
A vehicle lamp includes a light source including a plurality of light emitting elements or light emitting surfaces, a projection lens that projects light emitted from the light source, and a light distribution adjusting element that adjusts light distribution of the light emitted from the light source, wherein the light distribution adjusting element has a plurality of prisms having different angles of inclined surfaces corresponding to a direction in which the plurality of light emitting elements or light emitting surfaces are arranged, and prism surfaces in which at least one or a plurality of flat surfaces are arranged.
Luminaires utilizing edge coupling
A luminaire includes at least first and second waveguides. The first waveguide has a first coupling surface extending between a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, and the second waveguide has a second coupling surface extending between a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface. The first and second coupling surfaces define a coupling cavity. The luminaire further includes at least one light source within the coupling cavity.
Continuous production system for culturing dipteran insects
Methods and apparatus are provided for culturing Dipteran insects, particularly Hermetia illucens. The apparatus include a mating chamber that contains adult insects, and adaptations for the scheduled and/or metered introduction of inputs, such as: empty egg laying substrate, prepupae, bedding, carbohydrate (sugar) and/or water); and, the scheduled and/or metered collection of outputs, such as: egg laying substrate containing eggs, exuvia and bedding, and/or dead adults. The systems may also include adaptations to optimize the use of space, including the use of controlled environmental conditions within a confined space.
Lighting assembly
An elongate tubular lighting assembly having a body with a length between spaced first and second ends. The tubular lighting assembly has a source of illumination and first and second connectors respectively at the first and second body ends. The first connector has cooperating first and second parts having first and second surfaces. The first and second connector parts are configured so that the first and second surfaces are placed in confronting relationship to prevent separation of the first and second connector parts with the body in an operative state as an incident of the first connector part moving relative to the second connector part from a position fully separated from the second connector part in a substantially straight path that is transverse to the length of the body into an engaged position.
PLANAR ILLUMINATION DEVICE
In a planar illumination device according to an embodiment, a reflector can be stably fixed to a substrate even when a temperature change occurs. A planar illumination device includes a substrate provided with a plurality of light sources at one surface side, a reflector provided at the one surface side of the substrate, a bottom frame provided at a surface side of the substrate opposite to the one surface side, a first fixing member configured to fix a center portion of the reflector in a longitudinal direction to the bottom frame, and a second fixing member configured to fix the one surface of the substrate and the reflector. A force of the second fixing member restricting the substrate and the reflector is greater at a center portion of the reflector 4 in the longitudinal direction than at a portion of the reflector 4 separated in the longitudinal direction from the center portion.
