Method for Simulating Combustion in Digital Imagery
20210312102 · 2021-10-07 ·

A combustion simulation system is provided. The combustion simulation system can be performed using a computing device operated by a computer user or artist. The computer-implemented method of simulating a combustion process includes receiving a set of data representing a fluid flow. The fluid flow can include combustion precursors. The method includes simulating a chemical reaction representing simulated combustion of these precursors generating combustion byproducts. The method can include determining a change in temperature of the combustion byproducts due to the chemical reaction, determining a change in molar mass of the combustion byproducts due to the chemical reaction, determining a divergence of the combustion byproducts based on a combination of the change in the temperature and the change in molar mass, and generating data structures of the simulated combustion based on values of the fluid flow.

Radiant burner

A radiant burner for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing processing tool includes a plurality of treatment chambers, each treatment chamber having an effluent stream inlet for supplying a respective portion of the effluent gas stream to that treatment chamber for treatment therewithin. In this way, multiple treatment chambers may be provided, each of which treats part of the effluent stream. Accordingly, the number of treatment chambers can be selected to match the flow rate of the effluent gas stream from any particular processing tool. This provides an architecture which is reliably scalable to suit the needs of any effluent gas stream flow rate.

CLC FACILITY COMPRISING A SOLID/SOLID SEPARATOR WITH MEANS FOR DISTRIBUTING A GAS-SOLID MIXTURE

The invention relates to a CLC plant for the combustion of solid hydrocarbon feedstocks generating particles of unburnt residues, comprising a solid/solid separator above the combustion reactor in order to efficiently separate the particles of the oxygen-carrying solid from the particles of unburnt residues contained in the gas/solid mixture (14) exiting from the combustion reactor. The chamber (1) of the solid/solid separator, the combustion reactor and the inlet (2) for the gas/solid mixture (14) of the chamber have a parallelepiped shape. The inlet (2) is equipped at its top with means (3) for distribution of said gas/solid mixture in the chamber which extend over the entire length of the inlet, improving the solid/solid separation.

Electrodynamic control in a burner system

A burner system and a retrofit flame control system for an existing burner system are disclosed. The burner system may include burner components, electrodynamic components, and a data interface. The data interface may receive a command for controlling the burner components and prepare a command for controlling the electrodynamic components at least partially based on the command for controlling the burner components.

Supercritical CO.SUB.2 .cycle coupled to chemical looping arrangement

Systems and methods for coupling a chemical looping arrangement and a supercritical CO.sub.2 cycle are provided. The system includes a fuel reactor, an air reactor, a compressor, first and second heat exchangers, and a turbine. The fuel reactor is configured to heat fuel and oxygen carriers resulting in reformed or combusted fuel and reduced oxygen carriers. The air reactor is configured to re-oxidize the reduced oxygen carriers via an air stream. The air stream, fuel, and oxygen carriers are heated via a series of preheaters prior to their entry into the air and fuel reactors. The compressor is configured to increase the pressure of a CO.sub.2 stream to create a supercritical CO.sub.2 stream. The first and second heat exchangers are configured to heat the supercritical CO.sub.2 stream, and the turbine is configured to expand the heated supercritical CO.sub.2 stream to generate power.

Direct gas-fired process air heater assembly utilizing a premix burner applied to a shrink wrap conveyer oven

A direct gas-fired process air heater assembly that utilizes a premix burner applied to a shrink wrap conveyor oven for uniform dissemination of heated air into the a recirculating air stream of a circulating blower, said air circulating blower directing the heated air into the shrink wrap chamber or tunnel for shrinking polymer film around packaged goods for shipment and/or storage. According to various aspects, exemplary embodiments are disclosed of the direct gas-fired packaged process air heater assembly construction features including the application of premix burner technology.

Combustion by controlled ionisation

This invention is intended to produce more energy during the combustion of fuels (solid, liquid or gas). This is achieved by separating the electrons and the cations which are produced at the very beginning of the phenomenon of combustion. This way of making conducts to more violent shocks between the cations (C+++; H+) and the anions (O−−); thus more energy.

Colored flame emitting device

A device that emits colored flames is disclosed. The device may include one or more electromagnetic coils within a housing. A fuel source may provide fuel such as hydrogen to an igniter at the input to the electromagnetic coil. The fuel may be ignited and a current may flow through the coil that may create a magnetic field. The ignited fuel may ionize creating an electric current that may accelerate the combusting particles through the coil. The current may create a magnetic field that may force the ionized particles into cyclotron orbits. Coloring additive such as salts may be added to the combusting fuel to provide color to the resulting flames.
