Pulverizing device, throat for pulverizing device, and pulverized-coal fired boiler
A pulverizing device includes: a housing; a pulverization table configured to rotate inside the housing; and a throat, disposed inside the housing on a radially outer side of the pulverization table, for forming an upward air flow. The throat includes: an inner ring extending along an outer periphery of the pulverization table; an outer ring, disposed on a radially outer side of the inner ring so as to form an annular flow passage between the inner ring and the outer ring; and a plurality of throat vanes disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring. The following expressions are satisfied: 2.0≤L/d≤4.0; and 0.5≤H/d≤1.5, where H is a gap between the inner ring and the outer ring with respect to a radial direction, L is a length of the throat vanes, and ‘d’ is a distance between adjacent two of the throat vanes.
Infrasound generator for enhancing the combustion of solid fuels
The invention refers to an infrasound generator for enhancing the combustion of solid fuels burning in a combustion chamber. The infrasound is generated by one or more set(-s) of each two vibrating plates, vibrating in the same direction with the same displacement amplitude but in antiphase. The infrasound generator does not cause vibrations and is not sensitive to ash and heat from the combustion.
PREFABRICATED INTEGRATED COMBUSTION ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF INSTALLING THE SAME INTO A COMBUSTION SYSTEM
Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to devices and methods for improving operation of a combustion system. According to various embodiments disclosed herein, a prefabricated integrated combustion assembly is disclosed that may be installed into a combustion chamber of a combustion system. The combustion system may be a new combustion system that is being manufactured or a conventional combustion system that is being retrofitted.
Push/Pull Furnace and Methods Related Thereto
Example furnaces and methods related thereto include a burner box including at least one burner configured to combust a fuel/air mixture. In addition, the furnace includes a first blower including an inlet nozzle having an air inlet and fuel inlet. The inlet nozzle is configured such that operation of the first blower is to pull air and fuel into the inlet nozzle to produce the fuel/air mixture at a fuel/air ratio that is configured to produce flue products having less than 14 Nano-grams per Joule of nitrogen oxides when combusted. Operation of the first blower is configured to push the fuel/air mixture into the burner box. Further, the furnace includes a heat exchanger assembly fluidly coupled to the burner box through a vestibule, and a second blower configured to pull the flue products through the heat exchanger assembly.
Method for flame straightening and burner assembly for this purpose
A method for flame straightening is disclosed, wherein acetylene with oxygen is combusted by means of a burner to yield a flame, and the flame is directed onto a workpiece so as to heat the workpiece, wherein an electric field is applied between the burner and the non-melting workpiece which is electrically conductive, or the electric field is applied between the burner and a non-melting electrode arranged on the non-melting workpiece side to reduce NOx emission.

Flameless thermal oxidizer for oxidizing gaseous effluent streams containing hydrogen gas
A method for oxidizing a waste stream having hydrogen therein includes flowing the waste stream with hydrogen into an oxidant stream for mixing the streams in a proportion for providing a mixture below lower flammability limits (LFL), including the LFL of hydrogen; and introducing the mixed streams into a ceramic matrix bed of a flameless thermal oxidizer maintained at a temperature above auto-ignition temperature of the mixture. A related apparatus is also provided.
Arrangement and process for carrying out an intensified combustion
The invention relates to a combustion engine and to a process for producing energy by means of expansion work in combustion engines. The invention is based on the problem of providing a possibility for supplying oxygen to the combustion space of a self-compacting combustion engine in an energy-efficient manner. According to the invention, with an arrangement for carrying out an intensified combustion for automatically increasing pressure of the combustion gases and using them in a combustion engine for performing mechanical work, the above-stated problem is solved in that an oxygen storage material is present in the combustion space so that a self-compressing combustion process is made possible by storing the oxygen in the oxygen storage material in the combustion space.
