10240777 · 2019-03-26 · ·

A heat exchanger plate for a plate heat exchanger (12) includes a first side, a second side and a center point (P) through which an imaginary center axis (A) extends in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the plate. The plate comprises a first port for a first medium, and at least a second port and a third port for a second medium. The plate further comprises a first sealing arranged on the second side around the first port, a second sealing arranged on the second side at a circumference of the plate, and a closed third sealing arranged between the first and second sealings to form a first heat transfer area and a second heat transfer area separated from the first heat transfer area. The second port is arranged in the first heat transfer area and the third port is arranged in the second heat transfer area.

Method of pan detection and cooktop adjustment for multiple heating sections

A burner assembly for a cooktop includes a housing that defines first and second concentric outlet sections, the first outlet section being inset relative to the second outlet section. The housing further defines a first aperture between the first outlet section and the second outlet section. A first switch assembly is mounted within the housing and includes a lever coupled with the housing and a first pin extending from the lever and upwardly through the aperture to an end positioned above the housing. The end of the pin is moveable in a first direction inward and outward with respect to the housing by rotation of the lever to control a flow of energy to the second outlet section.

Modulating burner with venturi damper

A modulating burner apparatus includes a burner and a blower placed upstream of the burner. A venturi is placed upstream of the blower. A damper valve is placed upstream of the venturi. The damper valve has an open position and a restricted position. A smaller gas valve and a larger gas valve are communicated with the venturi. A controller is operably associated with the system to select a position of the damper valve and to select the appropriate one of the gas valves so as to provide a low output operation mode and a high output operation mode, which in combination provide an overall turndown ratio of at least 25:1.

Flare pilot with water accumulation evacuation
10125986 · 2018-11-13 · ·

A flare pilot assembly has inner and outer tubes, defining inner and outer passages. A manifold delivers air and fuel to the outer passage. A bleed off passage directs a portion of the fuel and air entering the manifold to the exterior of the manifold. A diversion port in the inner tube diverts into the inner passage a portion of the air and fuel flowing through the outer passage. An electrical sparking device ignites air and fuel flowing through the inner passage. An evacuating tube extends from the manifold through the inner passage to the distal portion of the inner tube. The evacuating tube conveys moisture that may accumulate at the distal portion of the inner passage through the bleed off passage to the exterior.
