Combustion system
A combustion system is capable of using a petroleum pitch fuel, and is provided with a burner having a fuel supply pipe where a flame stabilizing plate is formed in a tip end of the same, and a high temperature maintaining unit for maintaining an atmosphere temperature at a vicinity of the flame stabilizing plate during operation higher than a softening point of the petroleum pitch fuel. Thus, even when the petroleum pitch is used as fuel, the burner does not become unusable due to adhesion/solidification of the petroleum pitch inside the burner and combustion operation can be continued for a long time.

A fuel nozzle assembly includes a forward plate and an aft plate which is axially spaced from the forward plate. The aft plate includes a first side surface and a second side surface. A cooling air plenum is defined within the bundled tube fuel nozzle assembly and is at least partially defined by the aft plate. A plurality of tubes extends through the forward plate, the cooling air plenum and the aft plate. A micro-cooling channel is disposed along the second side surface of the aft plate and is in fluid communication with the cooling air plenum and is in fluid communication with an exhaust aperture. A cover plate is connected to the aft plate and covers the micro-cooling channel.
BURNER TIP HAVING AN AIR CHANNEL STRUCTURE AND A FUEL CHANNEL STRUCTURE FOR A BURNER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID BURNER TIP
A burner tip for installation in a burner, wherein the burner tip has a surface facing a combustion chamber, an air channel structure leading to the surface and defining an air channel, and a fuel channel structure leading to the surface, and wherein the fuel channel structure defines a fuel channel, which extends in a surface region of the burner tip in a first direction parallel to the surface and then extends back, at least in part, in a second direction, different from the first direction, in order to cool the surface region of the burner tip by a fuel flowing through the fuel channel during operation of the burner tip.
BURNER, METHOD FOR OPERATING BURNER, AND METHOD FOR MELTING AND REFINING COLD IRON SOURCE
One object of the present invention is to provide a burner which makes it possible to prevent blockage and damage of the nozzle by the molten metal and the slag, and the present invention provides a burner including a combustion supporting gas supply passage which is configured to supply a combustion supporting gas toward a combustion supporting gas outlet provided at the center of the tip end side; a fuel supply passage which is configured to supply a fuel toward a fuel ejection outlet provided around the combustion supporting gas outlet; and a protective nozzle provided from a position surrounding a periphery of the fuel ejection outlet so as to project forward beyond the tip end surface at which the combustion supporting gas ejection outlet and the fuel ejection outlet are provided; wherein the combustion supporting gas supply passage includes a Laval nozzle, and a diameter-enlarged nozzle of which a diameter gradually increases from the tip end of the Laval nozzle toward the combustion supporting gas ejection outlet, and the protective nozzle has a shape which is gradually reduced in diameter forward from the tip end surface.
Metallic burner tiles
The present disclosure seeks to provide a metallic burner tile for use in industrial processes such as cracking. The tile is substantially metallic (e.g. more than 80%) with the balance being ceramic coating on surfaces exposed to high temperature. The tile is lighter and more durable than the current ceramic burners.
Fuel nozzle with slot for cooling
A fuel nozzle assembly comprising an annular slot surrounding a fuel nozzle, the annular slot having gas passages for feeding a gas into the slot and against an opposing wall of the slot. A method of operating a gas turbine engine including directing a gas flow into and across the slot against an opposing wall of the slot to generate a circulating gas flow filling the slot, the gas flow passing into the slot through one or more gas outlets within the slot and thereafter said gas flow exiting the slot into the combustion chamber, the gas outlets spaced away from the closed end of the slot. A gas turbine engine comprising a slot formed in a fuel nozzle assembly, the slot having one or more gas passages extending through a wall of the slot and feeding a gas into the slot against a another wall of the slot.
MULTI-TUBE BURNER SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENT MIXING OF FUEL AND AIR FOR COMBUSTION
A multi-tube burner system for efficient mixing of fuel and air for combustion is disclosed. The multi-tube burner system includes an air supply plenum, a multi-tube burner, and a combustor. Further, the multi-tube burner includes a set of tubes including the air supply section to receive combustion air and supply the received combustion air to a mixing section. Furthermore, the multi-tube burner includes a set of fuel pipes to receive fuel from a set of fuel inlets and supply the received fuel to a set of fuel plenums. Furthermore, a pair of fuel receiving channels receive the fuel from the set of fuel plenums and a fuel injector pin injects the received fuel from the pair of fuel receiving channels to the mixing section. Further, a set of mixing holes allow egression of the combustion air and the fuel mixture from the mixing section to the combustor.
Burner Tip for Fitting in a Burner with Air Duct System and Fuel Channel System
A burner tip for fitting in a burner comprising: an air duct system; a fuel channel system open to a surrounding area; and a central air duct of the air duct system running through the burner tip surrounded by a wall structure. The wall structure comprises open pores and/or a space grid. Open pores in the wall structure and/or gaps in the grid form a connection between the central air duct and the surrounding area of the burner tip.
Burner Tip Comprising an Air Passage System and a Fuel Passage System for a Burner
Various embodiments include a burner tip for installing in a burner comprising: an air passage system open to the surrounding area of the burner tip; a fuel passage system open to the surrounding area of the burner tip; an inner wall and an outer wall; an annulus between the inner wall and the outer wall; and heat-conducting structures projecting into the annulus from the outer wall connecting the outer wall and the inner wall. The annulus forms a part of the air passage system. The heat-conducting structures include connecting ribs. Connecting passages extend through the connecting ribs, open on one end into the annulus and on another end through the outer wall.
