Method for treating flue gas from combustion units
The reduction of the acid gas concentration in the flue gas of combustion units that is produced in waste incinerators, by contacting the flue gas with a powder composition including an alkaline earth metal salt and an ammonium salt. The contact may be carried out in a combustion furnace and/or in a post-combustion chamber of the combustion units.
System and method for reducing the visibility of exhaust emissions in a gas turbine system
An emissions control system for a gas turbine system includes a reducing agent supply, at least one sensor, at least one valve, and a controller. The reducing agent supply has one or more conduits configured to couple to one or more fluid pathways of the gas turbine system, which are fluidly coupled to a flow path of an exhaust gas from a combustor through a turbine of the gas turbine system. The at least one sensor is configured to obtain a feedback of one or more parameters of the gas turbine system, which are indicative of a visibility of emissions of the exhaust gas. The at least one valve is coupled to the reducing agent supply. The controller is communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the at least one valve, such that, in response to the feedback, the controller adjusts the at least one valve to adjust a flow of the reducing agent to reduce the visibility of the emissions of the exhaust gas.
Greenhouse gas converter chamber
The greenhouse gas converter chamber is a process and apparatus that captures, cleans, and separates greenhouse or exhaust gases at their source. Once separated, each individual gas can be released back into the atmosphere or stored depending on the gas's impact on the environment.
System for removing particulate matter from biomass combustion exhaust gas comprising gas cyclones and baghouses
A system for treating exhaust gas generated by combustion of biomass comprises a frame, a first cyclonic separation stage supported on the frame and comprising a plurality of parallel gas cyclones in fluidic communication with an inlet receiving the exhaust gas for removing from the exhaust gas particulate matter exceeding a first threshold size, and a second bag filtration stage supported on the frame and comprising a plurality of serially-communicated baghouses each comprising a plurality of bag filters therein for removing, from the partially treated exhaust gas received from the first cyclonic separation stage, particulate matter exceeding a second threshold size that is smaller than the first size which was passed through the first treatment stage. The gas cyclones of the first stage are arranged in a laterally extending row across the frame and the baghouses are arranged in a longitudinally extending row across the frame.
INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE INCINERATOR AND FLUE GAS TREATMENT APPARATUS
The present invention discloses an industrial solid waste incinerator and flue gas treatment apparatus, comprising a water-cooled feed hopper, a water-cooled grate and a chamber which are connected in sequence. A front arch, a rear arch and side walls which are formed of membrane water-cooled walls, are provided between the water-cooled grate and the chamber, and a dechlorination tower is arranged behind the chamber. Two sets of rear secondary air pipes, which comprise an upper set of rear secondary air pipes and a lower set of rear secondary air pipes, are arranged on the rear arch, and a dry desulfurization device is arranged between the two sets of rear secondary air pipes, so that the reaction medium and the flue gas are sufficiently disturbed and mixed, and stroke is extended.
Process to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides and mercury from coal-fired boilers
A flue gas additive is provided that includes both a nitrogenous component to reduce gas phase nitrogen oxides and a halogen-containing component to oxidize gas phase elemental mercury.
Boiler system and power plant including the same
A boiler system is provided including: a boiler that burns fuel containing sulfur content, chlorine content, and water content to generate a combustion gas; a bagfilter that removes sulfur oxide; a denitration section that removes nitrogen oxide; a desulfurizing absorbent supply section that mixes a desulfurizing absorbent into the combustion gas on an upstream side of the bagfilter; and a reformer that mixes a denitrating reagent into the combustion gas on an upstream side of the denitration section, wherein the bagfilter performs dry desulfurization, and a temperature of the combustion gas passing through the bagfilter and flowing into the denitration section is higher than 200° C. and 350° C. or lower, and the combustion gas from which the sulfur oxide has been removed by the bagfilter flows into the denitration section without being heated on the upstream side of the denitration section.
