Stackable chair and a method of adjusting a stackable chair
Storage of chairs when not in use, for instance in halls used by various groups, is a common problem which has been addressed by providing chairs that are stackable upon one another. Usually, this requires the chair to be composed of sloping legs and a sloping backrest, such that the seat of a lower chair can fit between the legs of an upper chair, and the backrest of the upper chair can rest on the backrest of the lower chair. It is desirable to be able to stack chairs with as small a vertical displacement as possible, usually limited by the depth of the seat, which is typically substantially horizontal. For instance, the base of an upper seat may sit (when stacked) on the upper portion of a lower seat. However, these chairs are usually mass produced and so designed to fit the average shape, which is not accommodating for a lot of people. The present invention provides a chair where seat 13 height, back 3 angle, seat 13 tilt and seat 13 roll are adjustable.
Chair device and star-shaped base thereof
Disclosed are a chair device and a star-shaped base (3) thereof, in particular capable of being used for office chairs, work chairs, stools or standing auxiliary devices, the star-shaped base comprising a center seat (4) and a plurality of extending arms (5) mounted on the center seat (4), wherein the extending arms (5) are used for the star-shaped base (3) to be placed on the ground, and at least one of the extending arms (5) is hinged to the center seat (4) and can rotate relative to the center seat (4). A chair seat of the chair device can rotate or swing, while parts mounted at an upper end of a chair column do not need to be modified, and particularly, a supporting structure, a chair support for the chair seat to be placed, and the chair seat itself do not need to be modified.
Custom controlled seating surface technologies
A system of controlling various actuators associated with human support surfaces is disclosed. Such a system is made up of a support surface, a controller, and an actuator. The system may optionally include batteries, a means of charging the batteries, and a graphical user interface as well as a communication link between the graphical user interface and the support surfaces. The actuators are capable of altering contour and/or firmness, of a support surface, they may be vibrational or heating/cooling in nature, and they may also alter the overall relative position of a support surface to another support surface, and/or to the ground plane.

Furniture having load-bearing or non-load bearing structures for storage of water or other material
Furniture pieces which incorporate load-bearing or non-load bearing structures in which water or other material may be stored. By incorporating such storage capacity within furniture, a user may take advantage of space that would otherwise be unused or unusable to unobtrusively and conveniently store an emergency water supply or other desired material.
Dual motion sloped floor recline mechanism for a theater seat
Provided is a dual motion recline mechanism for a seating assembling and seating assembly including the same. The seating assembly provides a user with the ability to both tilt the seat member so as to save space and the comfort of a back member capable of reclining. The recline mechanism includes a seat frame carrier assembly, a seat pivot pin, a seat carrier chassis plate, a rear pivot link, a chassis mounting plate, a back frame assembly, and a linear actuator connected by various pivotal, sliding or fixed connections. The linear actuator is remotely situated including for example behind the back frame assembly or under an arm rest. Optional elements include a seat front guide block, a seat front guide rod, back frame guide block and a back guide pin. The seating assembly may be a theater seat. The seating assembly may be mounted on a flat or sloped surface.
Apparatus and methods for the understructure of a chair base
The embodiments relate to a geometric under structure, central and outer hub for a GFN plastic chair base. The geometric shape and dimensions are critical components to the overall strength of the chair base hub and arms when either vertical or rotational forces are applied at the central hub. The central hub is of sufficient thickness to maintain dimensional stability when the forces are applied. The overall geometry and material composition enable the hub area to be constructed with minimal plastic wall thickness while optimizing the physical strength of the article and facilitating high production rate.
