A support member may connect the desk support surface to the stool base and support the desk support surface above a floor surface. The stool base may include a stool seat surface and a rocking mechanism opposite the stool seat surface. The desk support surface may be connected to a desk support base by a neck extending from the desk support base. The stool base may include an upper stool base frame and a lower stool base frame. The upper stool base frame may be height adjustable with respect to the lower stool base frame. The desk support base may connect to the upper stool base frame, permitting coinciding height adjustment of the desk support surface and the upper stool base frame.

A yoga stool also may have a base portion, and a seat portion on top of the base portion, wherein the seat portion has an internal firm support member such as a solid slat, and preferably softer material such as foam rubber surrounding the support member, at least on the left and right sides. The yoga stool may include opposed side elements joined by a rear element and front element with a removable top element that may be U-Shaped to allow for additional poses or exercises.

Collapsible chair

A chair operable between an extended configuration and a collapsed configuration includes one or more legs, a handle and a locking mechanism. The one or more legs support a seat and the handle extends away from the seat opposite the one or more legs. The locking mechanism includes a lock plug disposed in an elongate trough. Movement of the handle between the extended and collapsed configurations involves depressing the lock plug and flipping the trough to an opposite side of the lock plug.

The present invention relates to ergonomic supports in medical environment. In order to provide improved ergonomic support while providing a minimum impact of the user's activities, an ergonomic support device (10) for users in medical environment is provided. The support device comprises a seating support arrangement (14), an X-ray shielding arrangement (18) and a base support structure (12). The base support structure provides mechanical support for the seating support arrangement and the X-ray shielding arrangement. The seating support arrangement comprises a seat support surface (16) that is configured for supporting a buttocks area of a user. The X-ray shielding arrangement comprises at least one X-ray shield (20) that is configured for shielding at least a part of an X-ray radiation to which a user is exposed to while supported by the support surface. The at least one X-ray shield is movably mounted to the base support structure to be adjustable in its position relative to a user at least partly resting on the seat support surface.

A secondary ridge structure may be included on top of the central ridge structure. Using the seat apparatus, a person with a hemorrhoid condition can sit on the seat apparatus, and using their own body weight, create pressure between the affected area and the central ridge structure. The pressure bias the hemorrhoid to be repositioned in the user's body, relieving discomfort and, with long term use, can improve sphincter control to better prevent hemorrhoid conditions.
