Heating system for heating a fluid medium
The present invention relates to a heating system for heating a fluid medium, said heating system comprises a carrier unit and a heating unit, with the carrier unit having a surface comprising at least a plane portion being at least substantially normal to a longitudinal axis and an at least part-circularly shaped groove extending from said carrier unit and wound about the longitudinal axis, and the heating unit having a heating element at least partially arranged in said groove of said carrier unit. In the inventive heating system, the groove extends at least partially helically about the longitudinal axis. The present invention further relates to a heated conveyor pump for conveying and heating a fluid medium, said pump comprises a drive unit, a pump housing and the inventive heating system. The heating system is coupled to the pump housing with the groove extending into the pump housing in a manner such that the size of the cross-section of the groove decreases in the flow direction of the conveyed fluid medium.
VEHICLE TANK
A vehicle tank includes a first housing portion configured to house a first liquid for cleaning a cleaning object, and a second housing portion configured to receive a second liquid heated outside by heat exchange with a heating unit of a vehicle and house the second liquid which is received. A first wall defining the first housing portion and a second wall defining the second housing portion have a common wall shared by the first housing portion and the second housing portion.
Apparatus for pre-heating potable water in aircraft with waste heat
An apparatus for pre-heating potable water in aircraft with waste heat includes an air to water heat exchanger having a heat exchanger housing with an inlet end that receives heat from one or more of a galley insert exhaust air inlet, a galley appliance exhaust air inlet and an air chiller exhaust air inlet. A potable water supply inlet supplies potable water to the air to water heat exchanger, which transfers heat to the potable water, and a potable water supply outlet supplies heated potable water, such as to a galley insert or galley appliance, for example. An exhaust air outlet vents cooled exhaust air from the air to water heat exchanger.

COMBINED WATER HEATER AND THERMOSTATIC CONTROL
A combined water heater and thermostatic control device that combines the functionality of a water heater, thermostat and shut off valve, and may be installed in various aircraft lavatory applications to facilitate installation, consolidate functions, and reduce the probability of leaks. The combined device may include a water tank assembly, a torque motor valve and servo valve assembly, and a shut-off valve assembly. The combined device may also include a temperature control unit that senses water temperature in a water tank assembly and may activate a water heater.
Combustion gas permeable condensation trays for water heating systems
A condensation tray for condensing tankless water heaters is disclosed. The tray can include a plurality of peaks and valleys. The peaks can divert condensate runoff from a secondary heat exchanger into the valleys so as to prevent the condensate from falling on a primary heat exchanger. The tray includes gas apertures that enable combustion gases to pass through the tray and across the secondary heat exchanger. Overhangs on the peaks can prevent the condensate from draining through the gas apertures.
Water heating apparatus
[Problem] To provide a water heating apparatus which has a inverse combustion type burner installed within a case for a heat exchanger so as to cause heat to be transferred from an outer peripheral flange of the burner to the heat exchanger case. [Solution] This water heating apparatus is provided with: a fan for supplying combustion air; a chamber case which is connected to the fan and which has set therein a chamber where an air-fuel mixture is formed; a inverse combustion type burner for combusting the air-fuel mixture supplied from the chamber; a heat exchanger in which combustion gas generated by the burner is introduced into a case where water is heated; and sealing member which is installed between a peripheral flange of the chamber case and a peripheral flange of the case, wherein the burner is set inside the case, and an outer peripheral flange of the burner is anchored to an inner wall surface of the case.
Hot water storage tank with integrated pump and controller
A hot water supply system decouples an intelligent hot water storage system from a water heating engine system. The water heating engine system includes a plurality of instantaneous water heaters that provide for redundant operation for improved reliability. The intelligent hot water storage system includes a storage tank that encloses a volume for storage of water. The intelligent hot water storage system includes a recirculation loop driven by an integrated pump and operated by an integrated controller. By positioning the tank recirculation outlet and inlet farther apart from each other, additional usable volume of hot water is provided by the intelligent hot water storage system. Isolation valves positioned on the input and output of a recirculation pump in the recirculation loop facilitate repair or replacement of the recirculation pump. The hot water system provides for increased capacity while providing redundant heating engines in a smaller floor space than conventional systems.
WATER HEATER SENSOR
Disclosed systems and methods relate to a water heater sensor for detecting a corrosion of an anode rod. According to embodiments, a system can include the anode rod in contact with water in a water heater, where the anode rod includes a corrodible sheath having a cavity. The system can include two electrical wires, where first ends of the two electrical wires, disposed within the cavity, are configured to come in contact with the water when the corrodible sheath of the anode rod corrodes to a certain point. The system can include a controller coupled to second ends of the two electrical wires, where the controller can detect whether the water is in contact with the first ends of the two electrical wires. The system can include an indicator to provide an indication when the water is in contact with the first ends of the two electrical wires.
FLUID HEATER
