GAS COMBUSTOR
20220307725 · 2022-09-29 · ·

A gas includes a main pipe, a bypass pipe, a gas sensor and a cooler. The main pipe, as an exhaust pipe, discharges exhaust gas generated at combustion of gas fuel. The bypass pipe branches from the main pipe and is set to be smaller in flow rate of the exhaust gas than the main pipe. The gas sensor is arranged in the bypass pipe to detect a gas contained in the exhaust gas. The cooler cools the bypass pipe.

Heaters

A heater for heating liquid to boiling comprises a heating element (48; 106), a first heating region (18, 20; 100) heated by said heating element (48; 106) for heating liquid flowing therethrough to a temperature below boiling, and a second heating region (22; 102) for heating said liquid to boiling. The second region permits the exit of steam therefrom separately from heated water.

Convectively controlled adiabatic column chamber for use in chromatographic systems

A column-conditioning enclosure includes a column chamber adapted to hold one or more chromatography separation columns. A duct system provides an airflow path around the column chamber such that the one or more chromatography separation columns held within the column chamber are isolated from the airflow path. An air mover disposed in the airflow path generates a flow of air within the duct system. A heat exchanger system disposed in the airflow path near the air to exchange heat with the air as the air flows past the heat exchanger system. The air circulates through the duct system around the column chamber, convectively exchanging heat with the column chamber to produce a thermally conditioned environment for the one or more chromatography separation columns held within the column chamber.

BAFFLES FOR THERMAL TRANSFER DEVICES

A baffle for a fluid collection portion of a thermal transfer device can include a body having an inner perimeter, an outer perimeter, and an asymmetric feature, where the asymmetric feature is configured to create a pressure drop within the fluid collection portion of the thermal transfer device. The inner perimeter can be configured to be at least as large as an inner surface of a first wall that forms the fluid collection portion of the thermal transfer device. The outer perimeter can be configured to be no larger than an outer surface of a second wall that forms the fluid collection portion of the thermal transfer device.

COMBINED HEATER AND ACCUMULATOR ASSEMBLIES

Exemplary embodiments are provided of combined heater and accumulator assemblies. In an exemplary embodiment, an assembly generally includes an enclosure including a first portion, a second portion, and a divider between the first and second portions. The assembly also includes an inlet through which coolant may enter an interior of the second portion, and an outlet through which the coolant may exit the interior of the second portion. The assembly further includes a heat source operable for supplying heat for heating the coolant within the interior of the second portion.

Door with a built-in burner for a heating appliance
09816726 · 2017-11-14 · ·

A door with a gas burner on an inner surface and a system for carrying a combustible gas to the burner on the outer surface thereof. The door comprises a pair of metal sheets rigidly connected to one another at the edges thereof, each sheet having input and output openings for the gas mixture that are mutually separated in order to leave an inner space receiving a deflector plate serving as a thermal shield to be swept over on either side by the flow of the gas mixture supplying the burner. This arrangement reduces heat loss through the door; thus, keeping the outer surface cold, avoiding the risk of burns, and preheating the gas mixture. The invention can be used in heating appliances.

Flow control devices for convector heaters are provided. Such devices may include a casing in the shape of a cylindrical tube having in a first portion thereof, facing in a mounted condition towards the intake conduit of a convector heater, a plurality of first openings and in a second portion thereof, facing in the mounted condition towards the opposite side of the intake conduit, a plurality of second openings, the casing being arranged to be mounted onto the ceiling (S) in such a manner that the first and second openings allow the inside of the casing to be placed into communication with a first space (A1) beneath the ceiling (S) and with a second space (A2) above the ceiling (S), respectively; a closure member in the shape of a cylindrical tube which is mounted within the casing and is axially slidable relative to the latter between a first position, in which it leaves the first openings open and closes the second openings, and a second position, in which it closes the first openings and leaves the second openings open; and actuation elements for controlling the axial sliding movement of the closure member relative to the casing between the first and second position.

Dielectrically insulated secondary flue for gas-fired water heater
20170321928 · 2017-11-09 · ·

A dielectrically insulated secondary tubular flue for mounting inside a water holding tank of a gas-fired water heater is provided to increase the efficiency of the water heater. The secondary tubular flue has opposed tubular end sections and an helical tubular section integrally formed therewith. The tubular end sections each have connecting end sections adapted to form a part of a dielectric connector for securing the secondary tubular flue inside of the water holding tank by the dielectric connectors.
