Convertible Mattress
A convertible mattress includes a primary mattress component, an upper mattress component located adjacent to the primary mattress component, a top mattress layer located adjacent to the upper mattress component; the primary mattress component having a mattress length, a mattress width, and a mattress depth; wherein the primary mattress component forms a mattress notch extending into the mattress depth, the mattress notch extending at least a portion of the mattress length and structured and disposed for providing a hinged axis about which the primary mattress component may be folded; and wherein the hinged axis allows the convertible mattress to be folded at a selected angle with limited bunching or compression of the convertible mattress. The mattress notch may extend along all or a portion of the length or the width of the primary mattress component and provides a pivot axis about which the primary mattress component may be folded.
BEDDING SYSTEM, KIT AND METHOD
A bedding system includes a chassis having a bottom wall, opposite first and second side walls extending upwardly from the bottom wall and opposite first and second end walls extending upwardly from the bottom wall. The walls define a cavity. A coil pack is positioned in the cavity. The coil pack includes a plurality of springs. A first cover is positioned over the coil pack. The first cover is attached to the chassis by a first zipper. A comfort layer is positioned over the first cover. The comfort layer is attached to the chassis by a second zipper. A second cover is positioned over the comfort layer. The second cover is attached to the chassis by a third zipper. In some embodiments, kits and method of use are disclosed.
Therapeutic cushion systems and methods
Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a base support having a support element portion and an encasement portion. The support element portion has a first end portion, a second end portion and a top surface disposed at an angle relative to a bottom surface. The second end portion has a height greater than the first end portion. A support pillow member is fixedly coupled to the base support between at least a portion of the encasement portion and at least a portion the second end portion of the support element portion. The support pillow member, the support element portion and the encasement portion collectively define an interior region that includes a receiving portion configured to receive at least a portion of a user's arm therein.
Therapeutic cushion systems and methods
Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a base support having a support element portion and an encasement portion. MODULAR MATTRESS
A modular mattress comprising a plurality of modules configured to be positioned adjacent to each other forming a unique body having a support surface for a user, and comprising a plurality of engagement elements configured to reversibly engage a first and a second module of said plurality of modules, for avoiding movement from a correct relative position. The plurality of modules comprises a group of modules providing respective through holes aligned and oriented along a first predetermined direction, said aligned through holes being arranged to form a passageway passing through said modules of each group. There is one connection element configured to be positioned within said passageway, each connection element being provided at opposite ends, with respective engagement elements for reversibly engaging with respective engagement elements of a first and a second end module positioned, respectively, at opposite sides of each group of modules.
CONVERTIBLE MULTI-USE GARMENT AND CUSHION WITH STOWABLE STORAGE POUCH
Apparatus, systems and methods related to convertible garments for multiple uses. In one illustrative embodiment, one exemplary convertible garment may include a multilayered textile body having a central opening, which can be arranged in a first conformation to serve as an insulated jacket or poncho that features a hood disposed at the central opening, and, may include hand-warming and security pockets and a yoke with a closeable recess. Such a convertible garment can be arranged in a second conformation to serve as an insulated ground cloth and reversed to serve as a protective cover or blanket. The garment may feature an attached storage pouch that is stowed in the yoke recess in the first and second conformations. In a third conformation, the garment may be folded and stowed in the storage pouch to serve as a vented cushion.
Fire retardant mattress core cap and method of making same
A fabric made by the method of providing a non-woven batt having flame retardant fibers, stitch bonding the non-woven batt with an elastic yarn, and heat treatment the stitch bonded, non-woven batt. The stitch bonded non-woven batt is exposed to a temperature in a range of 65° C. to 200° C. for a period in a range of 30 seconds to 120 seconds, and contracts in the machine direction in a range of 5% to 65% and in the cross-direction in a range of 20% to 70%. In an embodiment, the fabric is adapted for use as a mattress core cover.
Adaptable Mattress for Prone and Side Positions
The present invention is a bed, mattress, or passed surface adaptable for sleeping or lying in the face down positions, also known as prone position; the side position; or other desired resting position. The invention includes a main body, accessory pieces adaptable for the different positions, and an optional bed frame and headboard. The present invention can also be used for a supine or reclined sleeping position.
SUPPORT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
A support cushion assembly (10) suitable for use in medical institutions and the like. The assembly (10) comprises a profiled body with a waterproof washable cover containing a filling. The assembly has a first cushion part (12) locatable beneath the back of a person lying on their side, a connecting part (14) extends from the first cushion part (12) to a second elongate cushion part (16) which is locatable in use to support the person's abdomen and/or their legs.
BED WITH FOOT WARMING SYSTEM
A bed can include a mattress and a foot warming system. The mattress can include a mattress cover and a support structure that is positioned under and covered by the mattress cover. The foot warming system can include a heating unit an envelope, a power source, and an electrical connector electrically connecting the heating unit to the power source. The heating unit can be positioned inside the envelope between the envelope top and the envelope bottom. The heating unit and the envelope can be positioned at a foot of the bed under mattress cover between the support structure and the mattress cover.
