Low charge packaged refrigeration system

A packaged, pumped liquid, recirculating refrigeration system with charges of 10 lbs or less of refrigerant per ton of refrigeration capacity. The compressor and related components are situated in a pre-packaged modular machine room, and in which the condenser is mounted on the machine room and the evaporator is close coupled to the pre-packaged modular machine room. Prior art large receiver vessels may be replaced with a single or dual phase cyclonic separator also housed in the pre-packaged modular machine room.

Vehicle air conditioner with a refrigerant circuit

A vehicle air conditioner with a refrigerant circuit has as components at least one evaporator, a refrigerant compressor, a refrigerant condenser, an expansion valve associated with the evaporator and at least one heat exchanger with an associated expansion valve for coupling with a coolant circuit of a heat source, wherein the components are connected by a refrigerant line. A refrigerant container is provided which is connected on the high-pressure side of the refrigerant compressor with the refrigerant line and has a refrigerant-receiving chamber with a controllable volume, and a control unit is provided with which the volume of the chamber of the refrigerant container is controlled as a function of operating parameters of the refrigerant circuit. Alternatively, the refrigerant container is connected on the high-pressure side of the refrigerant compressor with the refrigerant line by way of a branch line.

FLOW DISTURBANCE APPARATUS AND AIR CONDITIONER COMPRISING THE SAME

A flow disturbance apparatus includes: a refrigerant pipe having a flow space in which refrigerant flows; and at least one disturbance member disposed inside the refrigerant pipe that is vibrated by the flow of refrigerant in the refrigerant pipe to disturb the refrigerant flowing in the refrigerant pipe.

EJECTOR-TYPE REFRIGERATION CYCLE

An ejector-type refrigeration cycle includes an ejector module integrated with a gas-liquid separation device. The ejector module is disposed outside an area that overlaps with an engine when viewed from a vehicular upper side. Further, the ejector module may be disposed outside an area overlapping with the engine when viewed from the vehicular front side, and the ejector module may be disposed outside of side members in a vehicle width direction.

EJECTOR-TYPE REFRIGERATION CYCLE

An ejector-type refrigeration cycle includes an ejector module integrated with a gas-liquid separation device. A length of an inlet pipe that connects a liquid-phase refrigerant outflow port of an ejector module to a refrigerant inflow port of an evaporator is shorter than a length of a suction pipe that connects a gas-phase refrigerant outflow port of the ejector module to a suction port of the compressor.

A system includes a flash tank, a first load, a second load, a first compressor, a second compressor, a first valve, and a second valve. The flash tank stores a refrigerant. The first and second loads use the refrigerant to cool first and second spaces. The first compressor compresses the refrigerant from the first load during a first mode of operation and a flash gas from the flash tank during a second mode of operation. The second compressor compresses a mixture of the refrigerant from the first and second loads during the first mode of operation. The first valve directs the flash gas from the flash tank to the first compressor during the second mode of operation. The second valve directs the compressed flash gas from the first compressor to the first load during the second mode of operation to defrost the first load.
