A height adjustable bassinet with two height adjustable columns and associated assist cylinders. The bassinet includes a height adjustment assembly to operate the assist cylinders from manual actuators, such as paddles, located approximately in four corners of the bassinet support surface. The height adjustment system may include a pair of paddle assemblies mounted under the bassinet support surface. The paddle assemblies may be coupled to the assist cylinder by a dual linkage that translates pivotal movement of any individual paddle into movement sufficient to simultaneously actuate both assist cylinders. The dual linkage may include a pair of drive rods coupled to a pair of actuator rods by a plurality of pivot arms. The pivot arms may be generally “L” shaped and arranged in a rectangular configuration so that each drive rod is operatively coupled to two pivot arms and each actuator rods is operatively coupled to two pivot arms.

The operation switch is actuated through a pulling operation to move the foldable supporting frame between an unfolded mode and a folded mode. The container body is automatically folded as the foldable supporting frame is moved from the unfolded mode to the folded mode. Via a folding method, the foldable supporting frame is folded to reduce an overall size for occupying less storage space when it is not in use.

The playpen coupling mechanism includes an adjustable catching part that is connected with the support frame and is engageable with a playpen for installing the child bassinet thereon. The catching part is movable relative to the support frame between a first and a second position of different elevations, and is further movable relative to the support frame between a locked state where the catching part engages with the support frame for locking the catching part in the first or second position, and an unlocked state where the catching part is disengaged from the support frame for movement of the catching part between the first and second position. The catching part is adjustable between the first and second position for installing the child bassinet on the playpen at different heights.

Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a play yard configured for providing an enclosed space for a child. According to various embodiments, the play yard comprises a rigid support frame and removable, washable liner. The frame includes one or more channels configured to receive engagement members positioned on the liner in order to form a bounded play yard space. By permitting the liner to be secured to the frame via the retention members, a user is able to easily secure the liner to the frame for use and remove the liner from the frame for washing.
