HEAT EXCHANGER FLANGE PLATE WITH SUPERCOOLING FUNCTION
A heat exchanger having a heat exchanger core which is configured as a plate stack has a flange plate including at least one upper partial plate facing the heat exchanger core and at least one lower partial plate facing away from the heat exchanger core. The flange plate can include a supercooling passage which is bounded by at least one partial plate in the stacking direction of the partial plates and which receives a flow of refrigerant during the operation of the heat exchanger. A high variability can be provided thanks to the compact and flexible design, by means of which the most diverse of requirements can be achieved with no major design changes.
AIR-COOLED HEAT TRANSFER DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED AND MECHANIZED AIR PRE-COOL SYSTEM
A once-through dry adiabatic cooler having an integrated factory installed air pre-cooler system that is mechanized to move from a shipping position to an operational position.
Air handling system and method
The present disclosure relates to an air handling system which has a fan supply section for intaking warm air from a room environment, and first and second indirect evaporative cooling subsystems (IDECs) spaced apart from one another to form an air plenum and a hot aisle in communication with the air plenum. The air plenum and the hot aisle are both formed between the IDECs, with the air plenum communicating with the fan supply section to receive the warm air. The IDECs receive the warm air and cool the warm air to produce first and second cooled airflows. The system also includes spaced apart cold aisles adjacent each of the IDECs for channeling the cooled airflows into an evaporator section. The evaporator section produces a final cooled airflow which is directed back into the room environment.
Air conditioner mister, apparatus and method
An apparatus includes a housing that includes a front face, a rear face, a front-face cut out on the front face, a rear-face cut out on the rear face, a front-face screen to cover the front-face cut out, and a rear-face screen to cover the rear-face cut out. A box insertable between the front face and the rear face. The box includes a plurality of wicks behind the front face of the housing when the box is inserted in the housing. The box includes a water connection fitting coupled to the plurality of wicks through a controllable valve. The controllable valve has an open position and closed position.

Evaporative cooling device
A evaporative cooling device is described having a pair of heat conducting plates arranged in spaced, generally parallel relationship with spacing elements separating the plates from one another and defining primary and secondary flow channels between the plates. Inlet ducts are connected to the primary channels and outlet ducts connect from the primary and secondary channels. A water distribution system is also provided to supply water to the secondary channels such that a primary air flow through the primary channels may be cooled by heat conduction along the plates to cause evaporation of the water into a secondary air flow through the secondary channels.

HEAT EXCHANGER AND METHOD OF WETTING HEAT EXCHANGERS
A heat exchanger including a first module and a second module for heat exchange between a first fluid medium and a second fluid medium. The first fluid medium is conducted through a closed channel system separate from the second fluid medium, with the closed channel system flowed around by the gaseous second fluid medium. The first module and the second module are wetted by a third fluid medium, with a first wetting apparatus wetting the first module being actuatable independently of a second wetting apparatus wetting the second module. A first blocking element is provided for the first wetting apparatus. A second blocking element is provided for the second wetting apparatus. A monitoring system is provided by means of which the period of use of each blocking element can be detected so that the blocking elements can be switched in based on the data on the period of use.
Aircraft air conditioning system and method of operating an aircraft air conditioning system
An aircraft air conditioning system including a process air line having a first end connected to a process air source to allow a flow of process air therethrough. A ram air channel of the air conditioning system allows ambient air flow therethrough. A heat exchanger unit is disposed in the process air line and arranged within the ram air channel to thermally couple process air flowing through the process air line to ambient air flowing through the ram air channel. A water extractor disposed in the process air line downstream of the heat exchanger unit extracts water from the process air. A water supply system supplies extracted water into the ram air channel. The water supply system has a control arrangement to control a fluid connection between the water extractor and the ram air channel in dependence on an operating state of the aircraft air conditioning system.
EVAPORATIVE COOLING OF A HEAT EXCHANGER IN A COMPRESSOR SYSTEM
The present disclosure is directed to an air cooled heat exchanger with an evaporative cooling pad positioned upstream thereof to humidify and cool ambient air flowing into the heat exchanger. A water manifold is positioned proximate a top side of the evaporative cooling pad and a water tank is positioned proximate a bottom side of the evaporative cooling pad. The water manifold is operable for supplying water to the evaporative cooling pad at the top side and the water tank is operable for receiving water discharged from the evaporative cooling pad at the bottom side thereof.
