The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising first fluid inlets, first fluid outlets, second fluid inlets and second fluid outlets. Each of the first fluid inlets, the first fluid outlets, the second fluid inlets and the second fluid outlets are arranged on four different sides of a heat exchanger core. A manifold covers one of the four different sides of the heat exchanger core, wherein a first sidewall of the manifold is arranged at an angle smaller than 90 degree to the one side of the heat exchanger core which is covered by the manifold. An edge of the heat exchanger core between the one side of the heat exchanger core which is covered by the manifold and a neighbouring side of the four different sides of the heat exchanger core forms a common weld line with a connecting edge of the first sidewall of the manifold. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger comprising a heat exchanger core and a manifold.

A heat-sink base provided with heat-sink fin portions, a manufacturing method and a motor provided with the heat-sink base. The base is produced by pouring cast metal into a mold cavity to replace a pattern having a predetermined sublimation temperature. The base includes a preformed heat-sink member comprising a plurality of heat-sink fin portions and at least one anchor portion embedded at least partially in the pattern, and a base body comprising an enclosed base portion and a holder portion for receiving and holding the at least one anchor portion. By virtue of the invented method, the heat-sink member having an extremely thin thickness can be mounted on the base body and the overall surface area of the heat-sink base is increased considerably.

A flow-path forming gasket is interposed between peripheries of each adjacent ones of stacked heat transfer plates; communicating-path forming gaskets are each installed, surrounding the passage holes in each adjacent ones of the heat transfer plates alternately; and thereby a first flow path adapted to pass a high-temperature fluid, a second flow path adapted to pass a low-temperature fluid, and communicating paths adapted to cause the fluids, respectively, to flow in and out of the first and second flow paths are formed alternately on opposite sides of each heat transfer plate. A drain hole is formed in each of the heat transfer plates to discharge fluid leaking from the first flow path, the second flow path, or the communicating path. The drain hole is surrounded by gaskets isolated from the first flow path, the second flow path, or the communicating path. A leakage flow path or a leakage collector is formed by the gaskets.
Heat exchanger and ventilator having the same
A heat exchanger usable with a ventilator, the heat exchanger having an improved structure so that air passing through the heat exchanger may be prevented from leaking. The heat exchanger of the general inventive concept includes a heat-exchanging element having a plurality of liners stacked in a uniformly spaced state and a plurality of spacers disposed between the liners to define air passages, and corner guides respectively coupled to corners of the heat-exchanging element. Each of the corner guides includes a guide channel forming a space to receive the corner of the heat-exchanging element so that the corner guides securely come into close contact with the heat-exchanging element, and to minimize a loosening of the corner guide due to an adhesive applied between the heat-exchanging element and the corner guide.
Heat Exchangers For Battery Thermal Management Applications With Integrated Bypass
A heat exchanger for battery thermal management applications is disclosed. The heat exchanger has at least one internal, two-pass flow passage, the at least one internal, two-pass flow passage having an inlet end and an outlet end and at least a first flow passage portion and at least a second flow passage portion interconnected by a generally U-shaped turn portion. An inlet manifold is in fluid communication with the inlet end of the internal flow passage for delivering an incoming fluid stream to the heat exchanger while an outlet manifold is in fluid communication with the outlet end of the internal flow passage for discharging an outgoing fluid stream from the heat exchanger. A bypass passage fluidly interconnects the incoming fluid stream and the outgoing fluid stream.

A heat exchanger comprising: a core comprising first fluid channels, for guiding a first fluid, wherein each of the first fluid channels comprises a plurality of spur conduits interconnecting with at least one of another of the first fluid channels; a manifold for first fluid input comprising an input port which communicates with an input chamber for a first fluid, the chamber branching to form a plurality of first-fluid core-input channels; and a manifold for first fluid output comprising a plurality of first-fluid core-output channels which lead into an output chamber communicating with an output port, wherein each first fluid channel in the core communicates between a respective first-fluid core-input channel and a respective first-fluid core-output channel.
