Heat exchanger, tank for heat exchanger, and method of making the same
A tank for a heat exchanger includes an extruded tank section having a generally constant extrusion profile extending in a longitudinal direction from a first tank end to a second tank end. A first planar end cap is joined to the extruded tank section near the first tank end, and a second planar end cap is joined to the extruded tank section near the second tank end. Together, the extruded tank section and first and second end caps can at least partially define an internal tank volume. The first and second planar end caps are both arranged at non-perpendicular angles to the longitudinal direction.
Counter-flow fin plate heat exchanger for gas-gas heat exchange
A counter-flow fin plate heat exchanger for gas-to-gas heat exchange includes several outer channel fins, an outer channel bending plate, an inner channel fin and an inner channel bending plate. The outer channel bending plate is a flat plate with two sides bending upward vertically. The inner channel bending plate is a cuboid box without a cap on the top, and the top of the inner channel bending plate is hermetically fixed with the bottom of the outer channel bending plate. The several outer channel fins are arranged in parallel inside the outer channel bending plate. The inner channel fins are arranged inside the inner channel bending plate. Ends of a side surface corresponding to two long sides of the inner channel bending plate are respectively provided with an opening, and the two openings are respectively disposed at different ends of the two side surfaces.
Heat exchanger, heat exchanger tank, and method of making the same
A heat exchanger has a rectangular-shaped core having a plurality of fluid passages extending in a width direction and air fins interleaved between said fluid passages. The heat exchanger has tanks that define fluid manifolds located at opposite ends of the core and fluidly connected by the plurality of fluid passages between the tanks. The tanks each include a tank section with open ends and end caps that enclose the ends of the tank section. The tanks are assembled and attached to the core such that each of the end caps is located at each of four corners of the rectangular-shaped core.
MODULATOR ASSEMBLY FOR CONDENSER
A modulator assembly for a condenser. The modulator assembly has a tube having a first end and a second end. A first connector is brazed to the first end of the tube. A second connector is threadably secured at the second end of the tube.
Heat exchange member and heat exchangers utilizing the heat exchange member
A heat exchanger is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes a heat exchange member that includes a first extruded member having a first end and a second end. The first extruded member forms a plurality of fluid passages that are in fluid communication with the first end of the first extruded member and the second end of the first extruded member. At least one of the fluid passages is an inlet fluid passage and at least one of the fluid passages is an outlet fluid passage. A plug is fixedly coupled to the second end of the first extruded member. The plug forms a plug fluid passage that fluidically interconnects the inlet fluid passage at the second end of the first extruded member with the outlet fluid passage at the second end of the first extruded member.
Method and apparatus for flow maldistribution control
A flow control system in an inlet duct to a heat exchanger includes a door having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end rotates about an axis and the second end moves between an open position and a closed position to respectively allow and prevent flow into the heat exchanger. The second end has a rounded configuration. A plurality of mixing elements are downstream of the door. At least one mixing element has a base portion and a distal portion, and the base portion has a base width and the distal portion has a distal width. The base width is wider that the distal width.
DIFFUSER DISC AND DIFFUSER ASSEMBLY
An exothermal vaporizer is provided. The exothermal vaporizer has a body including an air and vapor mix port, a fluid inlet port in communication with a reservoir, an air inlet, and a wicking material. A mouthpiece is coupled to the body and a temperature indicating cap is removable from the body. A counter flow design exothermal vaporizer, a modular exothermal vaporizer, and a vaporizer which is adjustable to modulate and/or regulate the flow ratio of dilution air and produced vapor are also disclosed.
CERAMIC TUBE PLUG
A ceramic tube plugging system where a tube plug is inserted into the tube of the tubesheet and a ceramic ferrule is disposed on the tube plug. The ceramic ferrule is held on the tube plug by a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may be a ceramic plug screw that passes through an opening in the ceramic ferrule and is attached to the tube plug by complementary threaded provision included in the tube plug.
Evaporator Having Crimped End Plates
A evaporator provides an evaporator that includes an evaporator core, an evaporator tank attached to the evaporator core, at least one baffle incorporated into the evaporator tank, and multi-piece end plate assemblies attached to the tank. Each end plate assembly includes inner and an outer end plate layers. Each of the layers includes crimps. The inner end plate layer is preliminarily attached to the open end of the evaporator tank, during which proper alignment of the plate to the tank is made. The crimps of the inner end plate layer are crimped over. The outer end plate layer is then preliminarily attached to the inner end plate layer by crimping, thereby allowing preliminary attachment of the end plates to the tank to assure proper alignment prior to the end plates being fixed in position by a method such as brazing.
PRESSURE VESSEL
A pressure vessel includes a pressure vessel body provided with a flow channel through which a fluid is caused to flow, having a rectangular cross-sectional shape, and formed in an elongated shape, and a circular body flange provided on at least one longitudinal end side of the pressure vessel body, the pressure vessel body has a fluid inlet-outlet port which is provided on the one longitudinal end side and the body flange side of the pressure vessel body and connects with the flow channel and through which the fluid is caused to flow in or out, and the pressure vessel further includes an inlet-outlet header which is formed between the pressure vessel body and the body flange as a closed space connecting with the fluid inlet-outlet port and which the fluid is caused to flow into and out of.
